We will also have just one day in Darwin off a cruise ship and want to do the jumping crocodiles. Does anyone run a tour, or at least do pick up and drop off the dock? We don't want to drive ourselves.
Who did you use Christine?
Call 08 8980 6000 Darwin tourist information. They booked everything for me times pick up cost. I was in Darwin for the day and was back by 5.30pm for later flight well worth doing
It is quite a distance from town. We booked the trip from the cruise ship we were on.
We rented a car. It was a good distance away from town. Approx 30-45 drive. It was an easy ride, good road, no traffic. You might change you mind about driving yourselves. The car rental companies would probably bring the car to the port for you. It was a fun day!
There is a crocodile exhibition in Darwin without having to go to the Adelaide river. But that was an exceptional cruise on the river.
Best bet is to google it! Look at the Darwin tourist site se what on offer. As we had a hire car we drove.
We Just booked it off the ship. There are a couple of tour operators on the Adelaide River. If you google crocodile tours Adelaide a River you will have quite a decent selection. It does take about an hour to get to the crocs so you would have to be careful you, leave enough time to get back to your ship before it departs. Carnival used the spectacular jumping crocodile cruise.
