The Castle Inn Questions & Answers

Cardiff, United Kingdom

Hi we are due to be staying with you on Saturday 2/12/17. I would just like to know which room you have allocated us to as I am reading quite a few comments regarding room 2, it seems that people weren't very happy with their stay, if you could let me know asap in advance Thank you very much.

We stayed in room 2 for 2 nights, there was little or no disturbance from traffic noise. The hot water is very hot and the only other other criticism we had was cosmetic in that the carpet had a visible join (this may have been fixed by now). We were not disturbed by any noise from the pub and we enjoyed the meals. If you want to eat in, book early as it can get surprisingly busy in the evening. We booked bed and breakfast, you won't need much lunch after their cooked breakfast. The staff were excellent and very helpful. If you double park on arrival the staff will endeavour to provide a space once you are booked in. Enjoy

We were in room one I think, overlooking the church and road at the front. We stayed for two nights and had no problems with noise at all. We were there as a group and so I got to look in all the rooms and thought they all had their own charm. None of us had any complaints, on the contrary we had an amazing time and a very relaxed stay.

Hello! We only had dinner there, we didn't stay there - I think you just clicked the wrong link =)

Good luck and have fun on your journey!

I cannot remember our room number, however it was the corner room with a view of the garden and the intersection of the roads opposite the church. We were there over a weekend, the weather was great and the garden was full of people being social. Despite all this we had no problems sleeping, the people went home eventually and traffic dropped considerably after the evening peak hours. I guess the rooms on the other side had better views, but we were totally happy with the size of our room, the en suite and the ability to relax, particularly after a bad experience at Ludlow.
