Hi is the pier open now and are there illuminations in the evening on the sea front?
I wouldnt think the pier would be open yet it looked like a big job.
you could always ring the arcade of cafe to ask them?
No, the Pier is very much work in progress but the Cafes, Restaurants, amusements & shops are open.
The pier isn't open and there are no illuminations although the sweep of Swansea Bay is attractive at night.
The Pier is closed and will remain so for quite a long time as they are doing major renovations. There are no specific illuminations on the front, just promenade lighting, but a lovely place for a stroll looking across Swansea Bay
Open until 10 pm. Not much of a light show.
I was there nearly a year ago... but these answers below are very helpful. ringing the cafe would also be my suggestion (or the life boat centre)
As everyone has said, the pier is undergoing major refurbishment of its decking so is not open at this time. As for illuminations I certainly didn't see any.
As others have said the Pier is not accessible due to major deck repairs. There is access to the Lifeboat station but only for RNLI people. All the other facilities Cafe, Copperfish Restaurant shops, Art Gallery, the Bowling Alley & Amusements. There are no special Illuminations along the Promenade, but the view of the lights around the Bay is great.
Technically the pier is not open, they are ding wirk on tbe decking, but the promenade with everything other than the lifeboat deployment ramp is open and I don't think it mattered to most people.
Don't know 're lights I was there last week. It wasn't dark by the time we left which was fairly late. Have fun. The decorated billiards are cool
The pier is undergoing extensive renovation at the moment but looks good from a distance. As to illuminations - not really Mumblea is quite small but the whole of Swansea Bay looks great at night with street lights stretching for miles. Well worth a visit.
