I'm going to bruges for a day and I'd like to know what's best to do in such short time? We'll be staying in a hotel very near to bruges station so how far are the walks and also how do we get to this lake? We will be doing the boat tour hopefully but we would also like to visit this lake. Thank you
The minewater lake is about 3-4 min by foot from the station.
If you have only one day for Bruge choose to make a round trip by boat, It costs around 8 euro per person and you can see many sites of Bruge and learn some historics from the guide. Make a walk at the old city center and go to Bruge Zot brewery-museum.
the park is not too far from the station. its walking distance. maybe 20 minute walk.
I'm very sorry I missed this. I'm glad that others have answered - have a great trip.
This lake will most certainly be part of your boat trip. Walking into Brugge from the station you pass through the area of Miniwater on your way to the central squares. It probably takes about 20 minutes to walk from the station to Miniwater - then maybe the same again to get from there to the centre (although in reality it will take much longer because you'll be stopping to look at everything!) All the highlights can be done in a day with a guide book, a good map and comfy shoes!
Hi, the walk from the station to the centre of Bruges is around 15-20 mins so if you're staying close to the station, it may only take 5-10 mins. Anywhere is Bruges is only a short walk away, it's not a big city and easily navigable. The boat trips are great. You get to see interesting buildings, architecture and art. It takes about 30 mins and costs around €8. The main square is worth a visit and is the bell tower, and of course, the chocolate shops. Do stop and try the local beer, and above all, have a great time.
