Trattoria Al Gazzettino Questions & Answers

Hya,

Does anyone have a photo of the current menu?

I was wondering approx how much the seafood risotto for 2 would be and if it's a decent size or do people usually order side dishes?

Also, is the wine good quality and approx how much a bottle ?

Many thanks

We found the menu on line, the portions are good sized and ample. Regarding the wine - it really depends on your taste and what you want to spend. The house wines are good, Italians are notorious for their choosiness in wine so I can assure you they won't serve what they won't drink.

Worth the visit.

Hi, I have a photo of the current menu as I went to the restaurant yesterday. I can't seem to upload a photo on here though. The seafood risotto is 18 euro per person.

No picture but the portion sizing on the dish is good for two people. As are all the dishes I have tried at the restaurant.

It is a European serving but they are good sizes...

Trust me I'm a big guy!

I recommend the Terrazze de vulcano Ciuri white Sicilian wine priced at €28 it is a perfect partner to seafood and very drinkable on its own.

We were there on June 17th and while cannot recall specific prices, I can tell you that there were 9 of us and we were shocked at how affordable the prices were. Additionally, the chef sent out complimentary dessert items for us to taste, some free wine and a bag of pasta to take home. I made a reservation for lunch at 2:00 p.m. because there were no dinner spots available. The food was outstanding as was the service. It was one of the highlights of our 2-week trip. Although I did not answer your specific question, I think my answer is not to miss a chance to have a meal there - it was awesome.

Not sure about the seafood risotto, but as for the wine take their house Cabernet - you'll be pleasantly surprised. I'm studying wines myself and their house one is simply superb and quite affordable. I even took a bottle with me for cellaring.

We don't have a copy of the bill but our rissoto wasnplenty for two people. I believe it worked out roughly 30-35 for 2.

Our wine was perfectly fine and cost €25/30

Trust this helps

there are different wines in menu. I can't remember price for bottle because usually in Italy I prefer home wine or prosecco. but during our dinner we had American restaurant critics next to us and he recommended good red wine from menu which we tasted. I am not sure about price thought
