Hi, I see there are several complaints around the same issue: The building - old and tired and in need of renovation, foul smell - sewage -in hallways and corridors, dirty rooms or rooms that are not thoroughly clean. We are a group of 9 people who would like to spend a week skiing and this kind of puts us off, so we were wondering whether there have been renovations or the problem of the foul odor has definetely been solved, or it still persists. Thank you for your kind reply.
Good Morning, the hotel has not been renovated at least as far as I know. I was there in January of this year. It is getting tired, but we went to ski. And skiing we got all we could handle. We had a guide and we were not in the hotel until 4pm each day. There is a problem in the one wing of the hotel and yes there is a foul smell. However, for the price, the incredible food presentation and quality, the skiing omg amazing for sure... so we looked past the smell the odd time we passed and its not the thing we remember out our trip. We were on the third floor and our room was cleaned and no smell. It's up to you... what are your expectations? 1 bad thing does not ruin my vacation.... we went to be out in the fresh air and the majestic views!!!
Actually there is a part of the hotel that is fully renovated, plz make sure that you get to stay in these new rooms. However the lounge area is a bit antiquated. The food area is good and the quality is fine with a lots of variety. My advice, even if you have to put up with some discomforts, skiing to and forth from Cervinia to Zermatt is one of the best I have ever seen, wide black slopes, good quality snow, during the day you can eat at specific restaurant on the slopes without getting back to the resort for free, courtesy ClubMed (Wine included). So overall it is quite all right.
I was at thgis hotel in march 2017 and did not notice any foul smell in corridors we were on the 5th floor room was small and wardrobe door kept falling off quite dangerous as really heavy. Room was cleaned every day and we had no comlaints as regards the cleanliness of room.
Staff were very friendly and there to please we did not have best of weather a lot of resort closed due to high winds and only managed to get across to Zermatt once.
A lot of walking involved to get on slopes we were all kind of used to la Plange 2010 Club Med great for ski in ski out.
We were a group of 12 and skied at Club Med in March 2017.We had a great time and can thoroughly recommend it. Slightly bad smell in one of the corridors on the ground floor but not a problem. Staff were great as was food-
The problem has not been resolved
We were there in March last year
Had a brilliant time though!
I went there in March. Rooms are clean but, true enough, old in some parts of the club. As far as smells goes, fair enough, there are some ventilation issues in some very specific parts of the building. Now, you do not ski in the hallways neither do you sleep there.
Hi! The hotel is just not up to standard and the rooms not fresh.
I had no bad smell last time though!
The skiing is exceptional and asthere is always snow thanks to te glacier its a safe bet these days esp if you travel from far away.
Snd the price doesnt go up, i suppose the cant...
Dont rent the skis w CM though they are HORRIBLE the skiroom guys are clueless. Excellent little rental around the corner from the supermarket where the CM shuttle drops you.
