Hi. Just wondering if the area is relatively safe to walk from the train station to the hotel at night. Thanks!
I wouldn't - I didn't feel safe there at all.
It's just a 1 minute walk from the station. Some streets not safe at night like most places. The hotel will fill you in or where not to wander.
Hi sorry only just seen your post, yes it was safe, I was worried after reading previous posts but totally felt safe.
Right opp .. safe
It's right opp... safe
Yes, it's safe. Best route (least traffic) is below street level in the train station.
I got mugged just outside the hotel at about 9pm 3 weeks ago. Reception staff didn't seem too surprised when I mentioned it to them. The hotel is lovely but in a very run down part of town, in my opinion.
I saw no problems and felt perfectly safe during my time in Naples and within the old town behind the UNA hotel. OK, I was not out and about at 2am, so provided you are sensible, Naples is no more unsafe than any other major city.
The UNA hotel is directly opposite the main train station so you will be making a walk of about 100m in a well populated area.
