How far from Gare Du Nord Rail station & is it safe to walk around in Night to come to hotel walking ? What is the standard room size? does it has good outside view?
It is only 2 stops from Gare de Nord, best to catch the train as it is probably a little far to walk with luggage, only 1.95euro, and yes it is safe, but not Late in the night. The rooms are small as are most Paris hotels, and the views from the higher floors is fantastic.
10 minutes walk and there is no problem whatsoever.
My 2 GFs and I stayed at the Holiday Inn and felt extremely safe walking around at night. We had a 2 double room and a cot and it worked well. Bathroom was a good size and we had french doors that opened up to a walk out balcony and view of the train station. It was very nice. Metro is steps away which is extremely convenient.
Breakfast at the hotel is very good, too. I would recommend.
It's less then a 10mins walk. I was with my husband and we walked around at 10.30pm looking for food as we had a evening landing and felt safe. The Gare de L'est station is right in front of the hotel though, so you don't need to go to Gare du Nord. I'd say It's a safe area as most tourists stay in the area rather than paying a ridiculous price just to be closer to the Eiffel Tower. The size of the room is a standard European size. We had an executive room which had plenty of space for 2 and the view was the Gare de Lest station which is a beautiful building.
-Gare du Nord is 5/6 blocks from Gare de L'Est (and the hotel). It's just one stop by Metro
-About safety, we always walked around in group and it felt safe. But it depends on how late at night and which path you take, I guess. Try Google Map and Street view: you'll have an idea of the surroundings.
During the day, walking at good pace, you'll be by the Seine and Notre Dame, in 30 min
-About rooms, our two standard (2 beds) rooms were very small. One, facing the train station through a small attic-like window. The other one has no views.
Take a look at the travellers pictures, here in TA. Managment/hotel website pictures usually show the bigger ones and/or make the smaller seem more comfortable than they really are.
Can catch the tube almost directly in front if you're nervous. You should be fine though. Room size was good. Slept 2 persons comfortably with a place to sit as well. Separate room for bath.
15 mins away if you walk. you can take the metro, it s 1 or 2 stations away.
i have no idea about room size.
