Hi, I understand that the trip from Manchester to the Lake district is partly by train and partly by bus and that it is unaccompanied. What happens upon arrival in the lake district? Is there an organised bus service to the various attractions or is everything within walking distance? Thank you in advance for your help
Hello, our open top sightseeing bus leaves every 20 minutes direct from Windermere train station. This takes you to the village of Grasmere, Ambleside (20-30 minute drive) and also connects with the boat for the cruise back to Windermere or you return by on the next open top bus. It all works very well and we have had many happy customers using this service.
