As long as you are not in the middle of a storm, they are great. Totally clear for us.

Hi

We flew into Calgary from Vancouver. The road to Canmore is really good but I would recommend having a all wheel or 4wd vehicle. There can be plenty of snow and we saw a 4wd slide on the ice in the morning near Banff and it hit the concrete road divider.

No lines visible on the roads just follow the driven area / track left by the other cars.

The roads are dependant on how much snow they get. They don't use salt so even the main highway can be snow covered.
