Is it safe to drink the water in the streams on the property?
Hi Seeboo, there is sufficient water taps in the garden plus you can buy bottled water at the restaurant. As the others say why risk illness? Enjoy your visit.
Rather safe than sorry. The tap water is safe.
Hi Seeboo, I cannot vouch for this as I have not tried it. So I am inclined to play it safe and rather drink water from the taps.
Yes, as far as i know. I always drink it. Its been filtered through a million tons of rock.
Everything is pristine in the area but it would be my last resort and only in an emergency that I would drink the water out of the stream without treating it. You don't want to be stranded on a hike feeling ill. Carry fresh water or take purifiying tablets with you.
Good morning Seeboo
I agree with Wendy. Why would you want to expose yourself to unnecessary risk.
You will have access to water taps on the property so there will be no need to drink water from stream.
Hi Seeboo, strickly speaking, you should / could drink the water in the stream, however because we do not know whether some other human somewhere upstream decided to be stupid, I would suggest buying the tablets you through in the water to make is safe to drink, just in case. Specially if you are travelling and do not want to become ill on the trip. So the short answer is rather bring or buy in SA the tablets to make sure the water is safe. Regards Wendy
