SpringTide Whale Watching & Charters Questions & Answers

Lubbock

Hello! We are planning a trip to Victoria in June and plan to do some whale watching tours. Do you think we would see more whales on the morning tours, or the afternoon tours?

Hello Denise! Thank you for touching base.

You have such a good question and one that I wish I could answer. The truth is that sightings are truly random throughout the day and do not seem to correlate with the time of day, weather or sea conditions.

June is a great month for wildlife viewing but of course there is always a chance we won't see these wild, wonderful whales. Our suggestion is to plan your tour with us early during your stay in Victoria. That way, you would have time to come again if you didn't have a successful sighting on the first trip!

I hope this helps planning your trip here and also that we might meet you in June. Please let me know if you have any other questions :)

Cheers

Joanne

Hi. We went in the afternoon trip and were really fortunate and saw quite a few killer whales, but there are a lot of factors to take into account. Hope you are also fortunate, best of luck.
