Is dogsledding a “bumpy” ride for someone who has moderate back issues?

Not at all. It’s smooth sailing!

Yes, it's not bumpy, but if you are sitting in the sled at the back, there is no back support to speak of, so it can be uncomfortable for people with back issues.

Absolutely no problem. My wife had same concern. It was like gliding on a pond!

Hi ride is very smooth I sat in the front and was fairly comfortable, my friend sat behind me and was a bit uncomfortable, it is a small area to sit. But the experience is amazing and was my highlight of the holiday.

I have back issues and was totally fine! It’s not bumpy and you are cocooned in so hardly move at all!

I did not notice any bumping myself and both my husband and I have bad backs. I found the ride very smooth.

It really depends on the snow fall and trail conditions. At the time I went I didn’t experience any discomfort as the sled has a foam base and I applied a heat pack to my lower back as a precaution and was pleasantly surprised to have not experience a bumpy ride at all as it was quiet smooth you stop to get out and also stretch your legs part way and so also sign a waiver like all rides it’s really a personal choice as you know your own back capabilities. A side note; there were two couples in our group that were in their 70s and wanted to do it again they enjoyed it so much so the short answer is no however you can have a slightly bumpy ride if conditions are not as favourable, hope this helps
