I have seen in a few reviews that there are photographers that take your pictures at various activities and dinners. What is the price(s) to purchase pictures? Do they have packages to purchase more then one at a time in order to get a better deal?
Also, is snorkeling on your own in the bay permitted (beyond the roped off area) or is it only permitted on the daily excursion with the glass bottom boat? If so, how often does the boat go out daily on trips? I have my own snorkeling gear.
Lastly, if I read correctly, it is possible to do a free scuba diving course (I'm assuming in the pool) and a one time introductory dive. Is this only in the pool or do you head out to a reef for that dive? I am just not sure I want to spend all the money to get certified until I am able to try scuba diving once first.
Thanks in advance for the help
We do have photographers at the resort and offer packages. Please check with the resort on arrival to view package price.
All non-certified divers are invited to participate in a complimentary Resort Course and one introductory dive. Additional non-certified dives are $50 per person.
Snorkeling trips occur daily and yes you may do on your own (with your own gear) but within the area advised by the resort.
Yes the resort photographer will be at dinner and other events taking your picture in hopes you go to the photocenter to purchase those pictures. We have never purchased those pictures, but that is our preference. Snorkeling around the resort is a little boring because there is just sand, grassy bottom and an occasional fish. They do include a snorkeling excursion, where you can see a sunken boat, but because of the vest you don't go below the surface. Scuba diving is included if you are certified. I recommend taking the course because the instructor Naheema is top notch and your certification is lifetime and good anywhere in the world.
There will be tons of pictures of you all week and you can view them all and order but I can’t remember price. The activity staff are top notch. Lots of things to try and you can snorkel alone but they do a great trip you would have to pay extra for any where else.
