We would like to visit Zion at the end of March. We have time for 2 days. Are the views at Angel's landing and at Observation point comparable? Or 'do you have' to do both? Thanks!
I think what you see is very similar. From observation point you are higher and looking right at Angels landing. So, from Angels Landing you have an unobstructed view to the south and you are on a pinnacle so that's a big wow factor, but from Obs. point you get one big overall view of Zion.
The views from the top are similar, both great, but the hikes are quite different. Angel’s requires more climbing at the end, I would say it is more exiting, more challenging. I would probably choose that one if you do not have time to do both. I would recommend to go about half way Observation point trail to Echo canyon, which is amazing too. We completed that whole trail, we had more time so we could enjoy that longer less “crazy” trail.
I would only do one. Observation Point is behind, and much higher up than Angel's Landing. A more commanding view. Observation Point will take at least 6 hours round trip. Angels Landing is a bit shorter.
