Observation Point Questions & Answers

My father and I are going to Zion (from Ohio) in June. He had a knee replacement and is pretty much limited to around 5-7 miles per day now. Is this 3 miles each way or 3 miles total? I'd like to do, but also want to go on other hikes as well. Thanks for the help!

Sorry I mean 3 miles each way. 3 miles fairly steep grade uphill.

The Observation Point trail we did from the eastern park boundary near Ponderosa Ranch Resort was 3 miles each way, so a total of 6 with some slight ups and downs over the last mile nearest Observation Point.

Observation Point is a pull out, where you can view parts of the park. All of the "Points" are really easy access. I had two hips replaced and so these spots are easy. How much hiking you want to take FROM the point is purely a decision to make when you get there. But views and walking along the rims are easy.
