Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch Questions & Answers

Salt Lake City, Utah

A few questions...

Is there quite a bit of space between the Camper Cabins or are they side by side? (Just looking for a place with some privacy.) Is it still beautiful forest or have most of the trees been cut down for the cabins?

Can we have fires / do cooking at our Camper Cabin?

Thanks!!

Sorry, just saw your question. Yes, cabins are in a small duplex style setting (side by side)

Some room between cabins 30ish feet or more. It was private enough for us. Definitely a lot of trees, it is illegal to cut off a branch for marshmallows much less cut a tree. Bring a lot of bug spray and citronella candles-the mosquitoes are thick, even on cool mornings. Yes, fires allowed but someone must be present the entire time or they will put it out and possibly fine you. We received a warning for leaving a citronella candle burning when we left for about 5 minutes to walk to the toilets.

I agree with what Solasscc wrote. This is the campground area so you won't have a superb privacy. Each cabin has a front and a back window, and a fire pit with picnic table. I was there in early June and did not encounter much problems with bugs. However, it's always a good idea to prep mosquito repellents.

We did not stay in the camper cabins which are in the campground area. Our accommodations were farther west and were set up like a duplex - 2 of the premium 'cabins' were in each building - connected by concrete walkways. Housekeeper attends to these rooms daily. These buildings appear newer than the much smaller camper cabins.

The camper cabins are pretty close to one another. There are trees but you can see your neighbors and the road clearly. There is a fire pit and a picnic table at each cabin. Cooking would be similar to tent camping - there is no water or electricity hookup at the cabin. I saw some folks who had brought a net-tent with them to keep the mosquitoes at bay around the picnic table - if you plan to be outside in the evening this is a good idea.
