My previous answer was not quite accurate. Even lower cost is to take the Terravision bus from Stansted to London Liverpool Street Station, which costs £4.00 and runs about every half hour.

From Liverpool Street take the number 48 bus, destination Walthamstow, and get off at the Shortlands Road bus stop which is almost outside Ibis Styles. Oyster card best for the number 48.

The disadvantage of this option is that it can be slow ride from Liverpool Street to Leyton on the number 48 because of traffic, could be up to or more than an hour.

The least expensive way, and fewest changes, is this:

From Stansted Airport, take National Express bus number A9 to Stratford, it costs £8 and they run about every half hour.

Note that's Stratford London, not Stratford-on-Avon.

You can book online if you want, Google National Express Coaches.

From Stratford bus station take a number 69 bus, destination Walthamstow, and get off at stop 'Lea Bridge Road Bakers Arms', the stops are announced on the bus. Route 69 is a frequent and busy route.

From Bakers Arms stop walk to the traffic lights and turn left and Ibis Styles is two minutes down the road on your right.

For bus travel in London it's best to buy an Oyster card which you can do at Stansted or online, Google Oyster Card London.

Well, I think the best way how to get to the centre is using the Citylink bus (you will find it, don´t worry, the yellow-and-blue buses). I am not sure about the price ´cause we had paid another company to trasport from the airport before we arrived in Stanstad, and then we were informed that this company had been canceled. Just visit their website stanstedcitylink to read more information.

It goes to King´s cross St. Pancras station from where you go to Walthamstow central (tube - the Victoria line / the light blue one) and from there you can walk (about 10-15 mins) or use a bus to Bakers Avenue - mind that it´s a request (stopping) stop :-)

No direct transfer.

You can either choose Stansted Express (BUS), which goes to a few different directions in London, none close to hotel, however. We chosen Baker Street to start our exploration immediately. The bus have one downside: nobody tells you that you *must* reserve time for your journey back to airport, so you may have fun standing at 2am somewhere in London where bus simply do not take you.

There is also train, which goes a bit closer to hotel but still you'd have to use public transport. The closest Underground Station is Walthamstow Central (Victoria line). Then there is a bus - I think N55, not sure - to High Road Leyton Bakers Arms. From there you have to walk about 200 meters to hotel doors.

Please keep in mind that the cheapest way to use public transport would be Oyster card, but you pay 5 GBP deposit for card and you can *NOT* return it less than in 48 hours. Daily tickets are expensive because of huge coverage. Check on tfl.gov.uk.

1. Take the London train from Stansted Airport and get off at Tottenham Hale station, all the London trains stop at Tottenham Hale.

2. Transfer at Tottenham Hale to the Victoria Line and take a train to Walthamstow Central.

3. Outside the station at Walthamstow is the bus station. Get a number 48 bus, direction London Bridge, and get off at Shortlands Road bus stop. A voice on the bus announces the stops.

Shortlands Road bus stop is almost opposite Ibis Styles.

Hi

I don't think there is. Probably the best way is to get a bus or train from Stanstead and look for the nearest stop to the hotel. I suggest you contact the hotel for a better idea
