Can I know what is the temperature like in September? How long is the wait (approximately)? Reason for asking is because I am planning to visit with young children. Thank you.
Our temperature in September could still be cold we suggest at all times of the year to dress warm for our penguin tour. Our tour goes for just over 1 hour
This is fantastic and the kids will really enjoy it. There is very little wait before the tour and it is very well organised. There is also only a little wait for the penguins to start coming out of the water once you have walked to the beach which is not far and an easy walk.there is a big viewing platform too.
Not sure about the weather in September as we went in December and it was still a bit chilly. We have also been in April and it was cold so I would rig for winter weather as it will still be cool. Layering is best. If you google it you will get a bit of an idea.
Hope you have a great time
Hi, I wasn't there in Sep, and since I am not a local, I don't think I can assist on the weather. The wait was not too long. But do remember that you should reach there earlier just to get yourselves ready and to watch the sunset. If you include this, then our wait was about 30 mins, before we started to walk towards the beach area. Then it becomes a little unpredictable. In my case, it was about another 15-20 mins before the first penguins came on to the beach.
Hi, i went in jan. But it is very cold the wind is heaps strong so take a beanie because we didnt and our ears started to ache. The wait isnt long as they break up into smaller groups and go to diff sections of beach. It is the greatest experience!!
