Asakusa View Hotel Questions & Answers

Melbourne

Hello, A lot of the reviews mention the hotel is close to the JR and metro - can you tell me which station/s? How far away are they in terms of walking? Also, are the lines easy to get to Shibuya and Shinjuku or is it a lot of changing lines? Many thanks

No idea about the name of the stations but the lines to Shimbuya and Shinjuku are crossing the street. Easy as pie.

Correction: I think I meant "the closer Uguisudani" JR station (not Inaricho), in terms of a faster, direct cab route.

It is not within easy walking distance of the Ueno JR station--there is a direct street that takes you to the back of the JR station, but then you have to take a pedestrian walkway up across the train tracks and around to the front. A fast walker could get to the tracks in about 20 minutes. A cab from the Asakusa View might be a bit quicker--it would go to the closer Inaricho JR station. In terms of the subway, the closest station by foot is Tawaramachi, about a 12-15 minute walk straight down a busy street (i.e., also busy when coming back late). The actual Asakusa subway station is actually further, south and toward the river--a lot of different subway lines meet there.

It's one line only to Shibuya; for Shinjuku you would need to get to a different line.
