My husband and I really enjoyed our trip with Álvaro to Inca Lagoon. Álvaro was really knowledgeable and we learned lots while we made the drive out to Inca Lagoon. The vineyard was lovely on the way out and the lunch at the ski lodge in Portillo was wonderful. Our driver, Gregorio, drove us safely there and back. Definitely go on this adventure. You are in great hands!

This is a great tour. The driver Alex and the guide Janina made extra efforts for us to have a wonderful trip. Janina is very knowledgeable and responsible and we really enjoyed her interesting stories about the areas. Alex is a wonderful driver and we had a very comfortable ride on this mountain route with so many turns. We had a wonderful time with both of them.

A very enjoyable day exploring a couple of very special Chilean sights. The combination of Errazuriz Winery and Laguna del Inca (Portillo) gave us a fantastic taste of local touristic sights. Our guide John (sic) was engaging, enthusiastic, and passionate in his delivery of the tour and it was good to have a more personal experience.

We were originally booked on to the Cajon Del Maipo tour but received an email the day before stating that due to safety issues the tour was unable to go ahead. We were offered a full refund or the option of
    The Portillo tour instead.
The lagoon and the mountains were stunning and gave good photo opportunities. The guide was good and made the day a lot better than it could have been with the knowledge and information he shared.
It seemed to be a long day in mini van for not a lot of gain. We spent a lot of time at stops along the way which all seemed rather unnecessary; buying snow gear, getting coffee and then a place for lunch that only did a buffet (not food everyone will eat).

Overall the day was ok but not something I would recommend as a must do whilst you are in Chile. If we could chose again we would take a refund instead.

    Recommendations:
    - Pack warm and cool clothing depending on time of year (Very different in the mountain compared to Santiago).
    - Don't buy any snow gear - you don’t need it!
    - Take your own lunch and water, it is more than enough.

This trip up the Pass was one i 'had" to do from my bucket list, but unfortunately had to be taken without snow being on the mountains.
There was only us on the tour. The driver was on time and friendly.
The mini bus was modern and clean.
Unfortunately the drive to the Pass had little interest and the lack of snow on the Pass and at the Lake took away much of grandeur of the views shown on photographs taken in winter
The Ski Hotel restuarant with Lake views was open for lunch at reasonable prices.
In summary unless you want or and have to take the trip in Summer it may not be the spectacular trip you are looking for.

Great driver and very informative and friendly guide. The vineyard In Situ was a great place to experience delicious wines. The lagoon was beautiful and the mountains so of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

I had visited several wine valleys on my last trip to Chile and wanted to check out Aconcagua Valley. Felipe was a fantastic guide to this less visited, smaller valley. We visited In Situ, Flaherty, and Sanchez de Loria and had a lovely lunch at a quaint restaurant. Felipe made the whole experience fun and interesting and he knows the area well. I enjoyed the Aconcagua tour so much I bought a tour to Isla de Maipo with Felipe several days later. I don't think i would have covered as much ground or learned as much if I had tried to visit multiple wineries without a guide. Chile is not like CA wineries, where you can just show up and taste. You must have an appointment, and take the tour before you try the wines. Having Felipe set all of this up, and space out the appointments and lunch to fill the day was awesome. Plus, we had great conversations about wine, culture, and life in general. With Felipe as your guide you will not be disappointed!
