Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are already in Santo Stefano di Camastra, there is no reason to skip this museum. A collection of local ceramic art hosted in a nice building. Even better, it is free.

We went there about 11:00 a.m. from railway station. A lot od stairs (a problem with prom).
The view was breathtaking! Colorful ceramic details, pink bouganvilleas, blue sky Andrzej the sea... The only cafeteria there was o.k. Shadow, no crowd, ocena cream. Perfect relax.

This historic Cimitero is different from any I've ever seen with each grave covered in Ceramics that I imagine are the family pattern since I didn't see any names. It is wild with vegitation but a nice jog from the city center.

The Belvedere is the scenic lookout over the port of Messina. Located at the base of the Christoret Dome Church it offers unfettered views of the Strait of Messina and the city below.

Our tour bus drove us to the lookout. An alternative is an elevator from the lower city.

I am an Armao. My family emigrated from Santo Stefano in the early 20th Century but we know very little about them. It was thrilling to come upon Via Armao and the Armao Palazzo, and the ceramic work is lovely. I doubt that non-Armaos would find it as interesting as I did. The building now houses a private library that was closed during the hours we were there and a center for Non-Violence. I would recommend instead a visit to the city's Ceramics Museum which is filled with beautiful old and contemporary ceramic art. You'll find files designed by the Armao family and other artisans in the museum.
