Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Dawn GPrince Edward Island, Canada17 contributionsWatch your water bottle contract as you go below sea level. It is terrible that it is slowly disappearing. You can pick up chunks of salt the size of your palm on the beach.Written 21 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He enjoyed his swim in the Dead Sea, but my experience was shocking - I am reporting this incident as a warning to others and in hopes of some sort of closure and better nights' sleeps.... I use walking sticks to improve my balance for longer walks. I walked down to the beach, lay them down, got into the water and was enjoying my swim/floating until I noticed a man with a suit labeled 'Maintenance', staring at me and motioning that I should put my arms out to improve steadiness while floating -the man continued to stare at me which was very uncomfortable so I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate on enjoying the experience and being with my son... I floated close to the shore, I opened my eyes and saw the man aggressively motioning that I had to get out - when I tried to go back deeper, he grabbed hold of my limbs and I started to shout for him to leave me alone. He pulled my arm and leg to stop me going further into the water and I felt a strong pain in my hip !! I yelled for help and my son came near saying he should stop and leave me alone. At this point the actual lifeguard in his yellow and red suit came up with a smile on his face - he seemed to find it funny. (But my son saw him tell the man to go back to his cleaning job at the toilets). The damage to my hip has now limited my walking and is very painful at night, I keep seeing the man's face and replaying the incident.Written 29 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LindaCopenhagen, Denmark16 contributionsIncredible beautiful location and amazing service. I visited for a day spa and was received very well. The reception provided fast correspondence through email prior to my visit and Hanan welcomed me at the spa, and guided me with the choice of treatments. I booked “on the bank of the Dead Sea” and received a very relaxing treatment and massage from lovely Emma.
There are several different outdoor pools and a beautiful beach-pool overlooking the Dead Sea. Easy access to private beach with sun beds, salt scrub and mud to use as you want. Very friendly lifeguards that helps out as well.
If you only stay for the day, I highly recommend to stay for the sunset. I used Uber for transportation to/from Amman which was easy and good price.Written 4 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Excursion859061 contributionArrogant, incompetent and lazy.. are the key words here. Very disappointing. I won’t go into the specific details of the disrespectful incidents I had to go through the past week at this establishment, as everyone at the hotel already knows about this, with no obvious signs of finding a practical solution.
I have been going to the spa since 2018, and have been religiously going there 3 times a week since April to attend to a chronic lower back strain, which took at least 5 hours of my day every time. It takes physical and financial effort to do this, but, at first, it was worth it health-wise. To call me a repeater guest would be an understatement. Many, security personnel already memorized my car’s registration plate.
I never once asked for a discount, gifts or special treatment. However, The last week, I had to go through a series of unfortunate and disrespectful behaviors which left me boiling. It started from some members of staff at the main gate, valet staff and then the reception manager, who thinks he’s the sultan of the Middle East by the way.. Mr Vinod, manager of the spa, who is a great guy and a very experienced individual, who tried vigorously to solve the situation, reached out to management. I received a call from Mr Saif, director of rooms, who extended his apologies and promised me to find a middle ground solution. Yet last Tuesday, I had to go through the same disgusting demeanor from two members of staff that almost made me go back home. I shared my thoughts to everyone at the spa and made it clear that I won’t be back again. Mr Saif, who already has my number, offered to meet me through the spa manager, for what purpose..? To have a complimentary coffee and pointless conversation..? I just demanded a practical solution to the situation. I never heard from him again till this moment. No feedback or solution was provided and only Mr Vinod was in touch with me. He offered to help by telling me that I would receive a call from “higher management” but this “call” turned into sharing an email contact with Mr Sebastian, region manager, which I declined. Is everyone at this hotel too lazy/stuck up to pick up a phone for a quick chat..?
I believe that staff behavior mirrors management. And I can’t believe that a decent property would refuse a local repeater guest in this manner, without extending genuine communication to offer a solution to a technicality.
Security, valet and bellboy services are managed like a mafia-like mob regretfully.. As I witnessed two club car drivers quarreling with each other, in front of me, on who will drive me to the spa, because they both know that I am a decent tipper.
It’s a decent hotel, dated, but decent. Regardless of the sewage problem that you have to go through at least twice whenever you have to go to the hotel reception.. It is still the best option in the area with a great spa, but you will have to deal with the arrogance and incompetence of many staff members and managers.
Mr Vinod, if you are reading this, you easily could find a better job in a different property anywhere else in the world that deserves you.
Anyone else reading this, please do your homework. If you properly go through your google search, you will find ratings that actually reflect the resort. The first sites you see are promoted and paid for.Written 12 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
