Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- jamesw56789Walsall, UK65 contributionsWe have done quite a few escape rooms. Le Rebellion is one of the best themed we have done with some intriguing puzzles. There are padlocks but it was generally clear where you should put the answer. We played as a 2 and there was a LOT to do. Thankfully we had been able to start a little early and so were given a little more time to finish which was good as it was a great ending.
We also played the Marlow Room attheir other nearby site and got out of that just within the hour.
You definitely get your moneys worth here.Written 23 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. To the right there are is also a legal graffiti wall that's on the back of a beer brewery. That's constantly updated. But keep walking up those back streets and a few hidden gems along there.Written 6 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul LHallam, Australia997 contributionsSaw several bands here over the years in the theatres old guise and have been once after the revamp.
The theatre has been a staple for decades - many Sydney residents will recall having seen bands here down the years. The place is on a main road and there are a mass of eateries nearby for pre or after show food and drink options. If you are coming by public transport then there is a train station not far away.
The place itself looks a lot classier than the fairly dated situation previously. It's a lot brighter the sound seemed OK on my one post-refurb visit. Finding your seat is easy and even at the back I had an OK view.Written 15 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is the resting place for many notable figures from the past including the explorer Sir Thomas Mitchell. It also contains the remains of the sailors from the ill fated Dunbar.
Certainly needs some restoration before more of the grave stones become illegible. It is allegedly haunted by Hannah Watson who leaves her tomb at night to visit the nearby grave of her lover Captain Staines who died on the Dunbar.
Entry is free but it is closed on Saturdays and after 5 at night. (I would not like to visit at night anyway !)Written 21 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is on the side of a building on the Northside of the street, directly north of Newtown train station. The mural itself is substantial in size and covers the entire side of the building.Written 23 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PhilipstravelsPerth, Australia152 contributionsWe visited the Paddington shop, really interesting quirky Antique/collectable shop, everything was pretty pricey, parking available on Oxford street, some paid some 2 hour freeWritten 9 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jo-Ann XSydney, New South Wales, Australia128 contributionsNew Theatre is a wonderful small theatre putting on plays ranging from classics to new works. It's a great place to see and support up and coming and experienced actors lead by equally up and coming & experienced directors and creatives. There are so few venues of this size left in Sydney and it is important they continue. Independent and professional.Written 25 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AndyJohn74Sydney, Australia5,484 contributionsThis green space sits a couple of blocks north of King Street. There seems to be things for all age groups to do here. There is wide open grassed areas for people to let their dogs have a run. There are a number of park benches and a substantial enclosed childrens playground on the western side. Quite a few large, shady trees dotted around too.Written 23 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Occasionally it's opened up for a show where they try to sell a lot of interesting art and also sell cheap wine. Those nights are very popular.Written 10 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
