Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain24,373 contributionsCabo Vilán is a cape located in Costa do Morte (Death Coast, in English), in Galicia Region, in the North-West of Spain. Here you can see a wonderful lighthouse (very beautiful), where we could do a guided visit and learn a lot about geography, history of the place and see some technical objects used to make work the lighthouse. All very interesting. Also, you can see amazing views of the cape, the coast, the sea and obviously the lighthouse. Much better and less people than Fisterra Lighthouse.

Dedicated to the victims of sea catastrophes. The biggest one in 1890 with 172 British vĂctimas just in front of this coast.Written 15 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - juliesims2018125 contributionsInteresting story regarding a character who came to live here and spent his life building artistic structures using debris from the sea. The structures are reminiscent of the work of Gaudi. Unfortunately, a sea wall was built straight through the museum, however the Aleman in question lay on it and the shape of his body can still be seen. A strange and touching museo.Written 13 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain24,373 contributionsFaro de Cabo Vilán is a lighthouse located in Costa do Morte, in A Coruña Province, in Galicia Region. It is a wonderful lighthouse, from where you can see amazing views of the ocean and the coast. Also, the lighthouse is very beautiful. You can do a short guided visit inside the lighthouse and learn about geography (i.e. the westernmost point in Europe change during the year, very interesting), the history of the place and Costa do Morte and you can also see some objects a machinery related to the lighthouse). Excellent, especially for engineering-lovers. The place is not full of people, so the visit here is more interesting and relaxing than the visit to Fisterra Lighthouse, which is full of people.

It is a stone church and it was built in 18th Century in a Baroque style. It only has one nave and a central bell tower in the main facade. When we arrived there, it was closed, so we only could see from outside and go around all church. Nice.
