Nice little harbour to roam around with plenty of boats and waterside houses to admire. Outside of the bars there isn’t anywhere really to sit, and a lot of the stores and restaurants seem to have shut down which is a shame, but what is there is decent. With the nearby kids waterpark facilities it’s somewhere for the whole family and makes it easy to spend a number of hours in the area.

Ample parking in the vicinity. Not too far from the city and easy to get to if you have a vehicle or a push-bike.

Beautiful white sand and blue water.

Pathways everywhere for those who like to walk or run along the coast and large grassed areas to accommodate groups wanting to relax and have a drink or a meal.

    Dining options are nearby.

One of the many great beaches in Perth region; with Hillary's boat harbour nearby - with all the options that provides.

Great place for a walk & unwind! Plenty of cafes to cater to all food types & a couple of good bars as well. All tastes catered for, plus shopping as well.

Parked easily. Signage not very obvious from some car park entrances. (Came in by NAB and could not see any signs for Coles)
Found interactive map which was clever.
    Seems quite spread out.

Clean toilets, big open spaces for playing games, beautiful natural bush surrounds and play equipment for the kids. Shelters for get togethers and plenty of parking. An oasis right on Joodalup's doorstep.

Yellagonga Regional Park is a large protected area whose northern part is located around the lake Joondalup. We only visited the part of the reserve located on the western side of the lake Joondalup. The path is always along the lake, but the vegetation does not allow you to see either the lake or the many water birds that are present there. This path is in the shade of the trees for various sections, making the walk pleasant with a good chance of seeing bush birds such as parrots and fairywrens. We have seen some pairs of western grey kangaroos and a bobtail that was warming the body in the sun. There are only four points on the entire western side of the lake where water birds can be observed. The northernmost is the Neil Hawkins viewing platform located opposite to the car park of the same name. Both north and south of the Cove Picnic Park the grassy lawn reaches the shores of the lake allowing an excellent view of the many birds present in the water. The last point is at the southern end of the lake where the trail runs alongside the Ocean Reef Rd. Instead the Yellagonga Scenic lookout has the view of the lake hampered by the tops of the trees and allows only the view of the other shore which, however, is too distant to take good photos. South of the car part there is a southwestern snake-necked turtle nesting area whose limits are well marked by signs that invite cyclists to use caution for hatchlings crossing the pathway from June to August. From the naturalistic point of view the short loop in the peninsula in front of Malup island is also very interesting. A large reserve rich in animal life and a very pleasant way to spend time in a still natural environment.

My favourite part of whitford nodes park was the 145 steps to the top. It was a long way up, however, the views from the top were amazing.

A group of us organised a guided tour of Cockman House with the City of Wanneroo. Our guide was very good, explaining all the intricate details of this very well preserved cottage used by the Cockman family from early settlement. The genuine furniture has been well maintained, the whole house and grounds are extremely well maintained.
Go and visit, it's a hidden gem easily accessed from Wanneroo Road.
I believe it is only open on Sundays unless you organise a tour with the Council officers.
