Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- MelaniaMagenta, Italy224 contributionsMy advice is to go by the time of the sunset. The location is perfect to see one perfect sunset.
After leaving the car near a Camping, you have to climb an easy path, it take about 20 minutes walkig, to arrive on the top of the hill where the abandoned village is located.
The village is a group of ruined stones houses which aren't allowed to enter, but the view is stunnig.
The only problem is that the site is not mentioned or signaled anywhere, so the beginning of the path is hard to find, but you can ask to peolpe with backpack!Written 17 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are a couple of coves you can go to, it's peaceful and only a few people. Lots of fish (and urchins), don't forget your rock shoes. The water was very clear and it was nice to get away from the crowds. No beach bar thankfully but also no bins so bring home your rubbish.Written 17 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mvanroyMerelbeke, Belgium747 contributionsA bit hidden in Lumio - on the road between L’Ile-Rousse and Calvi – this bio wine house is producing excellent wines. After a bumpy ride from the main road through the vineyards, you get to a modern and arty tasting area where the tasting (and buying) can be done at the reception.
We were especially impressed by the different good quality rosés. The biggest part of their yearly production stays within the Corsican island and we indeed found their wines back on the wine card of some respected restaurants in Calvi and Ajaccio.
If requested, a tour is also possible although this was rather limited.Written 9 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of places beachside to eat and drink. Great views of calvi old town.Written 18 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lynn EHolyhead, UK15 contributionsKevin was very welcoming and friendly, handing us over to our Caption Marion on arrival. With our limited French vocabulary we were a little worried we wouldn't understand much of the conversation but Marion was super helpful and friendly, ensuring we were kept up to speed with what she was explaining to French speakers. An exciting high speed trip to Scandola where time was spent exploring the volcanic Unesco site before heading off for some snorkelling and then lunch stop at Girolata. Then another high speed trip back to Sant Ambroggio. A highlight of our first trip to Corsica and good value for money, a must do activity! Thanks Marion :-)Written 17 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Vanilli71Senningerberg, Luxembourg76 contributionsWe rented a Tempest 700 for the day on our own licence and it was a fantastic experience. You get a good explanation of the equipment and the area. The price was correct.Written 16 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
