Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful morning out on two bikes and a child trolley. The trail was in great condition and it was a treat to be able to explore the area.

    Ok…..
We have seen a lot of historical villages, homes and mansions.
    That’s our thing.

But this one was a total surprise, in an out of the way area about 1 1/2 hours out of Adelaide.
Just outside the bear historical town of Mintaro.

Recommended to us by a friend, we are so glad we made the trip up to see it.

The story sheets on display in each room are difficult to read as they are in small font and bad lighting (yes it’s a problem many of us have over the age of 60!) so take your glasses! As the info is terrific!
Every guest we encountered in each room, complained about the same issue.
This is where a head set / WR code info explaining the room or even just better signage would be hugely advantageous and also appreciated.

I met 2 people that missed the information on all of the artifices in the “smoke room” altogether and had no idea of the significance of objects within that room.

Please don’t get me wrong, my comments arnt a criticism, we absolutely loved the building and how it was so beautifully presented and preserved, just would love more people to be able to absorb the significance of items in each room through better information sharing options.

Great story behind the history of the families of the property as well.

Would have loved to have seen inside the magnificent “coach house “ but sadly unavailable to the public.

Simple cellar door layout, nothing fancy. Our tasting guide was very helpful, knowledgeable and generous with tastes of wine not on the list like aged riesling and even a vintage Armagh. It's easy to see why Clare Valley is so famous. The Armagh was amazing. I certainly agree with the notion that 2 Armaghs are better value for money than one Grange!

We arrived late in the day, up from Adelaide, quick taste and bought a few bottles. ‘Come back and do a proper tasting, we’ll look after you’ was the invite! We did and were very much welcomed by Dave with tasting, explanations and a few stories. Bought some more excellent wines! A really good cellar door experience all round.

We recently tasted multiple wines including the 2020 St Ignatius Cabernet blend, 2021 Inigo Off Dry Field blend and the Two Shines' Fine Old Tawny, and confirmed - as we've been drinking Sevenhill's wines for many years - that Sevenhill continues to produce excellent quality wines that are great value. Highly recommended.

What a treat. Beautiful wines and outstanding service. Highly recommended. Even explained how much our drivers could consume in tasting- and the tasting was free. Lovely experience

Well done Bungaree.....what a great diversification into tourism for the property. For those like me with a rural background, it was a fascinating insight. 100,000 is a very big muster!
There must be an opportunity for lunch food....maybe that's coming?

This was our first visit to O'Leary Walker based on a recommendation of friends from Sydney. Very glad they did. Firstly, the views across the valley from the tasting centre are breathtaking - even when the area is in drought. Must look sublime when everything is green. And the wines we tasted where pretty good too. We shared a 'signature flight' for $10 and particularly enjoyed their Polish Hill Riesling and the Watervale Riesling and their Clare Valley Shiraz. Wines are well-priced too.

An amazing tasting experience in the Clare valley! Loved hearing about the wines and the area. The cellar door was beautiful and quaint with soooo much selection and an extensive tasting list. Skye who was working the cellar door was a generous host and we loved hearing about the family and history. One of my fave cellar door experiences to date!

We spent a day tasting wines at 5 wineries in the Clare Valley, starting the day at Taylors. All were excellent, but in our view Taylors won the points for the day. We loved all that we tasted here, including the those from their more experimental TWP Taylors Winemakers' Project (TWP) range. Also loved the beautiful new tasting centre and could not fault our hostess, on both her congeniality and her knowledge of the wines. Naturally, we joined their wine club and obtained a good discount on the wines we purchased.

Visited as part of the heritage passport.
2 building of which you can enter once inside the site, however note the engine house is restricted currently due to a sink hole opening up so you can access all the buildings there.
Very interesting however you need to drive out of this site and over to the mine viewing platform to get a better view of the mine site.
