Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Mario DBrisbane, Australia225 contributionsI took that same photo that heads up this blog. My wife's heritage is Sicilian and my in laws were devoted to the Three saints. Every year in my home town in Australia there is a festival for the Three Saints, but this Sanctuary blows that out of the water.
The alters and artefacts are intricate works of art and the Three Saints would certainly be proud of.
But you must visit the Sanctuary of Miracles in the church. There are hundreds of drawings and hand painted of miracles of the Three Saints Accidents , Diseases and many more. Its amazing to see and read.
Also a section on artificial limbs of all sorts that people wore and then no longer required them because of a miracle. It's amazing to read.
You could spend hours here, if you wished to read and involve yourself in this miraculous transition.
OkOk I know what your saying. You don't have to be a believer to actually see what other people believe in and the magnitude of what's there. It's just not a co-incidence.
Must see place.Written 16 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you visit Trecastagni, it's worth going to the square outside the church for the views!Written 5 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EntrepreneurlifeStockholm, Sweden12 contributionsSuch a lovely family run wine yard with great service and amazing wines. Loved the showing of the wine fields, explaining the different grapes, production techniques etc. The dishes that came with the tasting were delicious, the homemade caponata was the best caponata we ate during our two weeks in Sicily. It is obvious that this family truly loves food and wine! Thank you for an amazing experience!Written 20 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Andrew WWashington DC, DC17 contributionsWe took the Etna 3000 & Lava Tube Cave tour (which is not listed currently). Despite a hiccup with booking (some quirk of the website that I missed), they managed to accommodate us at the last minute and provide a totally top quality tour.
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, extremely accommodating, and very professional.
The tour itself is absolutely amazing (although conditional on Etna's explosive nature). The lava tube addition is a very minor part, but a cool way to explore a little more about how volcanoes work.
I cannot recommend this tour, or EtnaExcursion.it enough!Written 19 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lelymanRijswijk, The Netherlands3 contributionsWe had a beautiful trekking tour out if Taormina with a great guide (Lucia), who is passionate about the Etna, very knowlegeable of the volcanic activity, the nature, plants and environment and a very pleasant person and safe driver. She adapted easily to our wishes and physical capability and guided us to beautiful places to watch the Etna, which was still covered with some snow and a lava cave. Good preparation with sticks and helmets available. Highly recommended.Written 18 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
