- DragonmomTokyo127 contributionsOn our first trip to Hokkaido we decided to arrange a private tour to see some of the important sites. We had two days, one guided to Otaru and one non-guided to Furano Biei. We were fortunate that Igoshi Hayate was our driver both days. He was very pleasant and efficient and he always found the best parking places. He took us to two flower farms, Blue pond, Shirohige Falls and the Rice field art. I didn't think we would have time for all of them but he made it happen. We had a very quick lunch and didn't stay long at a couple of places so we could maximize our time but it was worth it. Definitely want to make another trip to Hokkaido next spring and revisit some of our favorite places. It being summer there were dozens of tour buses and very crowded but well worth the visit. Go with a private tour for an excellent immersion in the beauty these places can offer. It was a trip to remember in a lifetime.
