Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- HC GoalHong Kong, China561 contributionsYou can have a very good feel about this place when there are few people. Try to avoid the peak time of 5 - 6:30 pm when people finish their skiingWritten 21 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rob S16 contributionsGreat dry snow, beautifully groomed, uncrowded and friendly. Enjoyed skiing without queues, worth two flights and bus to get there from Australia. Most reliable snow I have found anywhere.Written 7 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JaneDavis, CA1,958 contributionsLocated right cross the New Prince Hotel, this garden was a filming location of famous Japanese TV drama – Kaze no Garden. It is a very beautiful garden to stroll around; you would have more feeling about this garden if you had seen that special Japanese TV drama. There are many different types of flowers and we also went down to the Rose garden and unfortunately it was not in their blooming season and the garden was under the maintenance.
Note:
1. It is a bit far away from the JR station, you need to take bus and get off at the New Prince Hotel. It takes about 30 min and costs about something around $2-$3, don’t remember exact amount, but not expensive. Only issue is you have to get the bus schedule to go back to JR Station if you are not stay in that town. The bus does not go back frequently, every 1 hour? Not too sure.
2. You need to pay 800 Japanese Yen entrance fee.
3. Put on mosquito repellent to protect yourself.
4. Inside the garden, there is a place to buy ice cream, and there is also a toilet facility.Written 4 September 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The workshop involved making 1 glass bead, yes, just 1, but it's about the experience of making it from scratch with fire. One gets to appreciate the process, even if it's the simplest part of the art. I'm glad we pushed to have this workshop vs just decorating with glass (which was also fun - some folks in our group did these). We divided ourselves to do 3 types of workshops, one person one workshop so we could experience the different activities. Everybody was happy.
Although their specialty was for "cracked" glass, I personally enjoyed more the section of the store that had miniature glass products. They have a vast collection! It had the classic ones like animals, characters, etc but also some funny and unique ones. I bought a tiny toilet bowl with poop LOL. I wanted something unique. The glow-in-the-dark ones are also very cool.Written 4 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Foreigners can participate and get their bellies painted, dress up (provided) and learn the dance and join the parade as well. My 8 year old loved it - as did my 10 year old and husband. Lots of fun. The parade is 7-8pm, but sign up is 3-5pm both days. Earlier in the day, there is dancing and more, food vendors in the evening too. A very fun local event to celebrate the 'belly-button' of Hokkaido - Furano!Written 29 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hanim GKuala Lumpur, Malaysia17 contributionsWe took the evening hot air balloon ride. We enjoyed ourselves especially the kids. As we had many people in our group, the kids were offered to go up the second time for free. They were very happy. We were just a little disappointed that the ride was not as high as we thought. - Roderick SSydney, Australia12 contributionsThis is certainly an express way up any mountain. The wait is a little bit sometimes and if you miss one vehicle expect to be waiting up to half an hour. But overall a good experience.Written 11 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jkwellynHonolulu, HI252 contributionsDon't expect to be impressed, this is a tiny winery with middling wine. You can take a self tour here but there's very little to see of the winery.
The best part is the free samples of wine and the ability to drink with a view of the mountains if that's your thing, that's my thing.
The tour itself isn't worth the steps in your pedometer. The free samples were alright, I didn't like any of their reds but liked a few of their whites. You can pay for some premium samples.
I ended up buying two bottles of 🍷 and having one while sitting with the view of the mountains.
Most people drove here, I walked here from my hotel in town, which took about an hour. There is no public transportation that comes here.
It's worth checking out if you're curious about Japanese wine like I was.Written 23 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - masayohanyudaHenderson, NV2 contributionsI just reviewed the story of this home and all the pictures and feel very refreshing to know someone who had a good idea of serine life. I am very impressed by the builder and his theory of life style. I believe he enjoyed the simple nature life and appreciated the nature which provided him a peace within. I am very proud of the man who built this home and lived in it all his life. Hope I'll be able to visit the home one day.Written 18 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
