Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Lexie GLondon, UK101 contributionsBeen to St Lawrence’s Gap a few times and always like to spend time on the beautiful Dover Beach.. reasonably priced sun loungers & sun umbrellas at $20 for the day is a stand out against some of the other more expensive beaches.. lovely fir a swim in the warm waters with usually lovely waves rolling in.. a visit is not complete without a quick bottle of fizz at Johnny Cools.. a legendary man who is always interesting to chat too!Written 25 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Francis COakville, Canada14 contributionsLovely church. We attended on Jan 15, which was also the day the church completed its 50th anniversary. Therefore we were part of the congregation and had a group picture of the congregation taken with a zoom camera. Great priest and friendly congregation.Written 26 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michael BBellflower, CA24,139 contributionsA lovely white-painted church was built in 1837, on a small rise in the heart of today’s infamous St. Lawrence Gap. It seems an odd place for it to be the church to be surrounded by dozens of bars and restaurants. But in the past, this area was called Bath Village and the Church/school was built to reduce the distance the local people had to walk to pray. From its early years as a chapel to present times, it has been renovated and added on numerous times. St. Lawrence Church today is probably the oldest, most traditional church building in the surrounding area.
The sound of the sea crashing on the rocks below complements the choir, and the gentle Seabreeze flowing through the open church windows gives a peaceful and spiritual feeling.
TIP: Sundays at 9:30 am there is a sung Eucharist & sermon.

- Laurel M1 contributionJen’s yoga classes on land as well her SUP yoga classes, are outstanding! She offers great sequencing with modifications that make her classes equally accessible and challenging for all. And I love that she orchestrates happy hour socials for her yogis to give back to the awesome @castaways restaurant that generously allows as to practice at their beautiful locale overlooking the ocean. 🙏Written 4 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Toni BPreston, UK117 contributionsWe chose this company as their rates were fully inclusive of any extras including bumps etc. It cost us $199 BD for 24 hours rental plus $10 BD pp (drivers only) for the mandatory licence permit. They arranged the paperwork very quickly and we were on the road in no time. The staff were very helpful. The car itself was very basic, which is perfect because some of the roads on the east of the Island were rough and ready, so I’d hate to go down them in anything else. We decided to get a car to see the island rather than a tour as it was cheaper and we could go at our own speed and itinerary. The car was also automatic, which made driving super easy. Driving in Barbados is good (helped by the fact they drive on the same side as the UK) and the drivers here are very courteous.Written 27 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
