I loved this place! In the afternoon, it is beautiful and lively. It’s great to walk around the streets and check out the bars.

Es Vedrà is undoubtedly one of the most mesmerizing places I’ve ever visited. This mystical rock island off the coast of Ibiza is not just a stunning natural landmark but also a place filled with a special kind of energy that is hard to describe.

We visited Es Vedrà during sunset, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. As the sun slowly disappeared into the horizon, the sky turned into a mesmerizing blend of orange, pink, and purple hues, creating a surreal atmosphere. The peacefulness of the place, combined with the sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs, made it an unforgettable experience.

There are several great spots to enjoy the view, but we chose a clifftop near Torre des Savinar, also known as the Pirate Tower. The short hike to the viewpoint was well worth it, offering a panoramic view of Es Vedrà and the surrounding sea. If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend bringing a picnic, a bottle of wine, and just sitting there to soak in the beauty of nature.

Some say Es Vedrà has magnetic energy, and many legends surround this place—from being a UFO hotspot to being part of the lost city of Atlantis. Whether you believe in these stories or not, there is definitely something magical about it.

If you’re visiting Ibiza, Es Vedrà is an absolute must-see. Whether you’re a nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or just looking for a peaceful escape from the island’s party scene, this place will leave you in awe. Don’t miss it!

This imposing castle dominates Ibiza Old Town with parts over a 1000 years old. Free to enter it combines different historical elements such as 12th century medieval design and 18th century barracks. There are a lot of steps and slopes with a decent accent or gradient to get about so its not really wheelchair friendly or suitable for anyone who cannot really handle steps. But if you are the reward of the views from its higher battlements are really worth the effort
We entered through the side arch entrance at Plaça de la Reina Sofia rather than the main entrance of Portal de ses Taules. From here it’s a fairly straight climb up several steps to the southern ramparts and their spectacular views to the west and especially of the main beach at Playa de Bossa. Then its along to the Eastern ramparts and its spectacular view of Ibiza marina and harbour. This does mean that you are going in a different direction to most of the visitors but has the advantage that it is a gentle winding descent, via the Cathedral, back down to the main entrance on Portal de ses Taules which then deposits you straight into the back lanes of the old town.
There are some small refreshment places within the castle walls but most are in the streets outside, so if you do plan to walk the entire castle then I would recommend to bring a bottle of water and wear decent shoes or trainers.

Beautiful beach. A lot of jellyfish washed up on the beach. Many restaurants nearby and bathrooms available on the beach. Also many parking spots nearby.

A sizeable port and Marina with the posh yachts on one side and the Cruise ships and car ferries on the other, it’s a very pleasant area to stroll during the day and take it all in, and its not very far from here to reach the other areas of Ibiza Town. There are several bars and restaurants that line the Marina, especially those that line Carra Andanes, but like posh Marinas everywhere else these do come with the usual “Marina tax” and better and cheaper options can be had short distance away in the back streets of the Old Town, Dalt Vila. This was especially true at night when the myriad of Marina side bars attract the beautiful people wanting to be seen (that’s posers to you and me), who don’t mind paying a few euro’s more for their cocktails.
One other big plus of the Marina is that the western side, where the passenger ferry boats dock, is home to an enormous taxi rank which in our experience has a constant stream of green light taxis at any time of day of night, taking the angst out of how to get back to your accommodation, especially in the small hours.

Nice village with a church and plenty of independent shops and cafes. We went as part of a coach tour which also included the aloe Vera plant. Ok for an hour or two.

Of all the beaches, this is the easiest to find the gays. While the beach is mixed, if you go to the right (looking at the sea from Chiringay). The walk from the parking lot is a bit of a trek, but it is a lovely beach. For the gays, the dunes are "active" for meeting friends.

This is the world’s largest and best-preserved necropolis, which was the Ibiza Town cemetery.

The original cemetery was founded around the end of the 7th century B.C. by the Phoenicians.

We called in to this beach cove as we were exploring the north coast and it was really pretty, with turquoise seas and plenty of opportunity for swimming and sunbathing. There is also a small bar/restaurant there. The partially built and abandoned hotel was fascinating to look around, if a little dangerous in places. Another reviewer has explained the history which I was unaware of before we visited. Some may see this as an eye-sore - it will be something you either love or hate. Worth popping in - you can park on the road just above or you can drive down the bumpy road if you are fairly confident on rough hilly tracks and have a semi decent car.

This urban beach was busy from morning to after sunset. The beach goers turned into sunset watchers, and the party continued.

Nice sand, not rocky like many of the other beaches.

Lots of nearby restaurants and snack bars.

A very interesting cathedral, although very typical of an important Spanish church the location and local architecture give some unique features. Excellent views from around the cathedral, and very close to a museum and tourist information centre.
Not a huge cathedral, like Saville, Granada, or Madrid, but well worth visiting.
Be aware the cathedral is, more or less, at the very top of the citadel area of the old town. The walk may not suit some people.

One of the ferry companies that compete for your business to pass from Ibiza to Formentera. The ships are modern and look great. The service is indeed fast.
