I would highly recommend any tour with Luca. - Kathy B4 contributionsA wonderful tour with Marco of the Carrara Quarry! This is a tour that should not be missed. We went on a rainy day but the site was still spectacular and very interesting. The tour finished at a hilltop village for a local lunch of bread, cheese, meats, lardo, vegetables and wine. We really were not prepared for such a great experience. Plus, the ride up to the mine was thrilling ( not for height averse people). - AA1 contributionGianni was a terrific tour guide and the bus driver was so great as well! He provided guests with some great facts and geography lessons, along with giving us time to walk around and explore on our own. We unfortunately experienced a tire blowout on the bus which caused us to be stuck on the highway for a bit. Gianni and the bus driver made some calls and were able to get us on another bus thank the Lord! Gianni notified our cruise ship on what had happened as we were a larger group of 54 (I think) and ensured that we would be able to get back on the ship. It was an amazing experience to walk into the cave! Gian was very knowledgeable as well as accommodating and always professional. His recommendations were great! He took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. We were back at the ship on time we would definitely tour with him again. She limited the amount of walking as we requested. We have a mixture of new experiences since shopping a nice lunch a little village near the quarry. She stopped to let us take photos when requested And answered all our questions about ye area.
