Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- trav226New York City, NY719 contributionsThis beach has some of the clearest water and sandy, rock-free entrance in Mykonos. It’s large enough that there’s plenty of room to swim. However, other than a small section on one side it’s wall to wall restaurants/bars and their chairs so you’re on top of other people. If this doesn’t bother you you will love it.
Avoid the black umbrella establishment. Our concierge warned us about this rip off joint. They offer free umbrellas but charge insanely high food prices. Cheapest item on the menu was a 9euro bottle of water! All the other places charge 20 - 30 eu for 2 chairs and 1 umbrella (which sadly is normal in Mykonos) but at least their food is reasonably priced.
Avli on the beach is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Dont miss this beach at night it’s lit up like a Xmas tree!Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Due to unforeseen events, we hired a small manual car from Scooter Line Rental instead of renting from one of the bigger companies (Avis / Europcar). The vehicle was in good condition for its age, tyres average, and had over 100000 kilometers on the clock, and less than half a tank of fuel. The car was clean however did reek of cigarette smoke. We didn’t break down and we did drive practically the entire island.
The car rental place had not yet opened for the season and was closed however the staff at the small convenience store next door assisted us. They called Francesco and within five minutes he had arrived.
When we returned the vehicle, we were dropped off back at our hotel and the entire experience was pleasant. Francesco who we dealt with was good, great communication.
We paid 50€ a day; 40€ for car hire plus 10€ a day for added insurance. I guess you pay higher then usual car hire costs as Scooter Line Rental only accept cash.
A similar car at Europcar (A new car mind you) was 25€ a day, 15€ a day car hire plus 10€ a day for added insurance, however Europcar only accept credit card.
What you see is what you get…. Our experience was what we expected. Francesco helped us out at short notice and the car hired served our purpose.Written 7 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My husband and I booked this easily and quickly before we arrived on the island and we had good and consistent communication leading up to our trip.
The fishing was a lot of fun and Captain Nikolas and his dad Artemis are very kind, welcoming and excellent hosts. The cooler was full of refreshments and the food was the best we have had to date in Greece. I can't think of any way that this could have been a better experience.
If we ever return this will be the first thing we book!! Thank you for an amazing time. ❤️Written 18 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You get 20% discount off water sports on one beach. After your beach trips lunch is provided bbq style, chicken, pork, sausage and salad not bad but maybe a little over cooked. Great way to see some of the other beaches but can be lots of people on the boat upstairs usually gets filled up fast, downstairs through the glass bottom you can see how crystal clear the water is.Written 20 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
