Kalleske Wines Greenock
#5 of 99 Food & Drink in Barossa Valley
Match: Wineries & Vineyards
We started our private tour of the Barossa Valley wineries at Kalleske Wines, and it was a great start to a very, very full day, of wine tasting, on our July excursion to Australia.
Family owned wineries are the backbone of the wine industry and those that do things as well as the Kalleske family do, deserve our support.

One of the best wineries I have been too and amazing staff
We had a beautiful platter with lots of local produce which was stunning and the perfect accompaniment to the beautiful wines at Murray Street vineyard.

In addition to the wonderfully unique and intricate features, the people, price and wine matched the experience which was unlike other wineries we'd been to.

Langmeil Winery Tanunda
#9 of 99 Food & Drink in Barossa Valley
Match: Wineries & Vineyards
It has to be said this is one of our favourite wineries - and having enjoyed all our visits across the years we always look forward to calling in - and once again we had a fantastic experience.
Langmeil Winery was a great winery to visit, quiet and personal, extremely well presented and immaculate, with helpful and friendly staff (without being pushy or intent on persuading you on anything) with lots of...

Rockford Winery Tanunda
#11 of 99 Food & Drink in Barossa Valley

Also, out of all the wineries I've ever been to, both in SA and in Victoria, Rockford was by far my favourite, partially because of the people, and mostly because of the delicious wines - many of which were quite...
We always purchase Ala Cante Buche and some other wines. The staff are very helpful and have a great understanding of the history of this charming winery and the fact that they hand make the wine is astounding.

Charles Melton is a gorgeous little winery, alot more intimate and personal than the other wineries in the area.
Cameron was fantastic, really lovely to speak to, made us feel at home and talked us through the history of the winery, the winemaker and the wines, and the wines are delicious.

We were also lucky enough to be allowed a tour of the production facility and wine presses, along with a tasting of the new vintage straight from the barrels, a rare opportunity at this time of year where wineries...

We bought the most wine here of any place we went in the 4 days we were in the South Australian wineries - and all down to the time and care Amanda took with us.
It's a beautiful winery with lots of great stories - the private cellars were a treasure trove of old and famous wines.

This was my favourite of all the wineries with gorgeous building and grounds and excellent wine.
A must to visit while in the Barossa, a remarkable Winery & Cellar Door, accompanied by a wonderful story of Peter Lehmann and the passion and dedication he had to both wine and the Barossa region.
