It's worth being a little away from Surfers itself to have the nice feel on the beach and surrounds.

Great park for young children. Some added shade helps, and it is all fenced in for safety of kids. Could easily spend an hour or two letting kids roam free.

Its free, gives discounts for food and alcohol, all you need is current photo ID. You can join on line and pick up card on arrival. Food court food as you expect, like a leagues club or surf club meal. The specials are generous portions but avoid the bugs, they are dry. The roast finishes at 8pm. Drinks are inconsistent in price. James Squire ginger beer $12.80 one night $8 the next. Host on nineteenth was curt, off hand and unwelcoming. We clearly didn't meet the 'age' selection. (not young enough) Told we needed photo id to access casino. This is not true. Discount vouchers you get with membership are very tightly limited, restricted menu options. Ok but spread your money around town.
Receptionist in the Darling was lovely! Helpful and courteous, while plumping the pillows! Worth a visit

The Oasis shopping centre is an average shopping centre with a convenient central location that has all the necessary shops for a comfortable stay at the GC.

When you have 1000 people for dinner it's hard to get all the meals out on time an hot...they did it!

Excellent service. Extraordinary food. Wonderful festive atmosphere.

Great entertainment by 2 bands...the hits of the 80s had the dance floor packed.

A great night out, great value, great fun

We saw the markets from our room and went for a visit. It was VERY hot and some stalls were hard to get out of the sun but overall were fun stalls with very creative and well priced products

Harvest Restaurant is a buffet. We have not been for some time and unfortunately we will not be rushing back. It is now more like a cafeteria - you have to line up and go past food that you are not really interested in or otherwise you must queue jump, which is a no no! We went on a Sunday with a 12.30pm booking. The queue to enter was ridiculous. Once in it just seemed frantic. Rather than have separate stations for the roasts or seafood or Asian or pasta it was all in one area. A nightmare! Also there is an unfortunate intersection of guests entering the restaurant with people in the food queue. The quality of the food was okay but not excellent. Our staff member, Nancy, was excellent and did her best to look after us. Overall my feeling is the buffet is badly designed and is quite difficult for people to access.

Located next to Kurrawa Surf club, is this lovely green space, is part of a larger park area, which is very popular on weekends with visitors and locals alike, there is an excellent walkway to enjoy a stroll, as well as seating to have a rest, or watch the world go by.

We usually go over to the casino for meals and to try our luck on the pokies when we are in Broadbeach. We have stayed there before because it is a one stop shop with everything on hand.

Moving tribute to the forgotten war that is Korea. Very well done in a lovely bush setting. Well worth a stop.

TIP: visit the nearby Kokoda Memorial which is 100m away within Cascade Gardens

It's so nice to see that in the midst of an international holiday area the Gold Coast have not forgotten our Australian history.
