What travellers are saying
- CazzachameleonGloucester69 contributionsThis is a great spot to visit with plenty to see. It was interesting to see the various types of building from through the ages and they are all done out in different styles from different eras.
It has a nice cafe and a little shop as well.
The post office has a sweet shop in where you can get traditional sweets. The lady manning this spot was really nice and we had an enjoyable chat about sweets and treats from all over!
You can also have a go at milking a fake cow in the farm area as well!
Good fun and friendly staff!Written 19 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Pinot Press171 contributionsThe owner of the local B&B we stayed in said we had to go, and we were glad we did. Very impressive, and the grey day added to the impact.Written 19 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CazzachameleonGloucester69 contributionsThis was a random stop on a rainy day. We were very glad we did stop here as the museum is really interesting and goes in to plenty of detail on the history of the clan. Some amazing stories from all through history with members of the family inventing gas masks in ww1, inventing now widely used parts for cars and getting thousands of German troops to susurrender in ww2 amongst other things. Lots of historical items to see and a dress up box for fun! We were also on met on arrival by a lovely lady who ran the museum and her wee pup as well.Written 19 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jonathan SNerja Spain2 contributionsThis is the third time I've have received ski tuition from Rod. This time being in Braehead, Glasgow. Once again i traveled a long way especially to see Rod and once again it was more than worth the effort. Rod has an uncanny ability to teach you and relax you at the same time so that your skiing vastly improves and you learn a huge amount whilst enjoying yourself at the same time! I couldn't recommend him more highly and i will be returning next year.Written 13 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tony RNewtonmore, UK38 contributionsNice little waterfall with viewing platform on upper path, and a small beach on the lower path. Short walk from the car park to the falls.
Be aware that the map location shown on Trip Advisor is not accurate at all. This is not in Newtonmore, but about 11 miles West on the A86. If you use the WhatThreeWords app the location is ///identify.political.massiveWritten 31 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Barrie SAberdeenshire, UK9 contributionsFantastic experience in every way! The location is nothing short of a Scottish paradise where many films have been shot for obvious reasons. Our trip included a 2hr quad bike tour and after that a private tour of the estate in a buggy (JD Gator) This was all part of an experience gift for my fathers birthday and I had high expectations after looking at thier website and facebook page. Our expectations were far exceeded and not only due to the location and trails but also to our tour guide Stuart French. Stuart is very good, great communication during the booking process leading up to our tour and a fantastic guide throughout our day. Stuart has a great humour and made everyone feel relaxed and at home. Stuart is also very knowledgeable about the Estate and area in general, we were interested the history of the estate and learned a lot. Highly recommend, will definitely be back.Written 9 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AMay10 contributionsWe have had such fun searching for these cats during our holiday over the last week or so! We are currently up to 90 but are hoping to get all of them before we leave! A brilliant way to pass the time and see lovely sceneryWritten 17 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- S Bradley2 contributionsJust played two rounds of golf at Newtonmore. Playing in a 3 it was easy to get round in under 3.5 hours. Course was in excellent condition with some stunning scenery. Staff in the pro shop and clubhouse were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend Newtonmore to anyone visiting this area.Written 10 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- nicholaScotlandLivingston, UK6 contributionsWe canoe twice a year with Tracy and Ian and their support and guidance is wonderful.
Our son has cerebral palsy and is profoundly deaf. Tracy and Ian take the time to ensure he is comfortable and happy and encourage him to participate to his best ability.
They are very reliable and great at what they do.
Other activities are available and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.Written 7 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - aster_palmsEdinburgh, UK294 contributionsThis is a smallish shop right on the front of the road. It's filled with mostly female Tweed garments. Lovely good autumnal and winter coats, colourful no doubt, but nothing in my size. But was able to get it on our way back a few days later.
It can difficult to get across if you want them to find you another size. But after some persuasion, we did.
Expensive but warm and worth it.Written 3 November 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - 101087LGRosemarkie, UK2 contributionsCracking place to visit. Beautiful and friendly animals. Picturesque location. Knowledgeable host. Thoroughly recommended.Written 15 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
