Limit search to Veurne.

Inside one will see original wall papers, fire places etc. See my review on Vrij Vaderland; Thes is a wonderful site to walk around and to enter the buildings whenever possible.
It is a different view to see the Town Hall when it's dark than in daytime.

So peaceful and pleasant to explore in in particular to view the vast amount of stain glassed windows.

We had a great view of the procession.
So, this not the ideal time to come view the Grote Markt.

Beautifully kept like all the CWG sites, this small cemetery is on a little lane, opposite a farm with ponies.

The entrance to the site is tastefully gated, and as you walk up the impeccably maintained grass lawn, which is around 150 metres in length one gets a sense of the poignancy associated with such a place.
More information is available on the CWGC Web site, includes location and casualty listings.

We learned a lot about the fascinating story of how the polders were flooded to stop the German advance in 1914 and greatly enjoyed going up in the lift to the top of the monument for a 360 degree view of the area...
Ii has a museum and access to the top of the memorial, giving good views of the surrounding area.

A great historical site at the Yser (front) where in Dikslmuide/Dixmude the Belgian Army brougth a halt to and made a stalemate with the German invading troops from Oct 1914 till Sept 1918.
The Museum provides a fantastic overview of the site as well as interpreting the action there.
