My partner and I were visiting the area staying at Torquay as part of a National Holidays trip. We had half a day in Teignmouth and enjoyed exploring the town. It’s a lovely promenade with a small pier. Plenty of seating looking out to the sea. Plenty of shops to visit.

Our first visit. We saw 84 Charing Cross Road, a great production. The whole company worked so well to create the show in such an intimate space. Bar is open beforehand and in the interval, good choice, and ice creams too!

If you sit on the bench the other side of the hedge from the car park and it stops raining then I’m sure you’ll see the Cirl Bunting too!

Great in terms of a theatre or performance venue to watch shows. Friendly and helpful staff. The catering however is very basic and doesn’t cater for dietary options.

A truly brilliant area for dogs and their owners. Plenty of seats for the owners to relax and watch the dogs play and socialise with others. Plenty of dog poo bins to clean up.

At the mouth of the river, there has abeen a lifeboat station here since there has 1851. It covers an area from Dawlish to Brixham and up the river as far as Newton Abbot.

It has an average of 50 shouts per year with 30 volunteer crew members.

The volunteers are justly proud of their Atlantic 85 lifeboat which is the still the fastest boat in the RNLI fleet.

There is a small shop attached .

Volunteers are always delighted to see visitors and chat to them.
