We stopped at Skye Weavers at the recommendation of our hosts at the bed and breakfast. Very glad we did so, it was a wonderful experience. Julie ran the Harris Tweed weaving machine for a bit. We got a tour of some behind the scenes work. Some of the yarn comes from sheep raised by Skye Weavers. The designs at Skye Weaver are both traditional tweed and cutting edge originals. We bought a lot of both and had them shipped back. (Pro tip: If you have the merchant ship your purchases, they can deduct the VAT, which pretty much covers the cost of shipping). We got a lot of our Christmas shopping done, buying the most lovely and unique gifts. 5/5, would visit again. If you cannot visit-hit their website and buy direct. These are top of the line goods, and original designs inspired by the locale. Highly recommend. Allow an hour.
