Beautiful archaeological place that breathes history of ancient times and throws you back in history. We really loved how clean this site was and the way security guards stand around the place to help preserve these structures from tourists whom climb the ancient walls...
We really loved the stone vases that were partially restored as well. It's jaw-dropping what humans could do already back then.
However we would loved to have a little more info about the different houses and places instead of just a sign with 'storage rooms' or 'Palace' for example. We do not know what the place was exactly and that's a little odd. However if you're in the area, it is worth every dime of the €6,- p.p you pay.

Fantasctic big beach with clear water. You will always find a sunbed, which isn't very expensive, by the way. A good place for families.

Omalia Olive Press, a 4th generation business that was established in 1925, is a live olive oil factory that you can visit in Crete. You can see manual production machines as well as the currently modern technology that is used. You can learn about the entire process of making extra virgin olive oil and there is also a small tasting after the tour. The factory is an active-producing olive oil press and if you come in the late fall, early winter months, you can actually see all the machinery in work. Current owners are on hand to do the tasting portion of the tour and it’s completely free to walk in and explore. We did end up buying some olive oil to take back - their rosemary infused olive oil is crack.

Perfect, not too small, not too big, very clean, friendly staff, free entrance if you only use the toddler's pool which is quite big, you can watch your kids while sitting and having a drink. We had lots of fun with our 5 year old daughter. 3 sorts of glides and 5 in total. Not too crowded so we could also relax. Don't hesitate to come!

hello. at the agency everybody was really helpful and nice. we booked a one day trip to santorini from crete heraklion. Unfortunately that was not good. We travelled 12 hours but we could walk only 2.5 hours totally. once 1.5 hours and one 1 hours. it was too quick and it was a like a running up to the hill take some pictures and run back to the bus. . if you plan to visit santorini stay there minimum one night. During the trip the tourist guide was really nice and good. i can suggest them totally, but from crete choose a two days trip to santorini.

Great beach with a lot of different water sports at a reasonable price. Also a restaurant there. Also opportunities to get professional photos while doing activities.

Excellent experience. Great fun. The karts are good and well maintained and the helmets were clean.
I went with one of my sons and husband who are very competitive and the guy was really good advising them on the best line etc. He even went out with them and was advising them going round.
Really good fun and felt safe and well looked after.

Quite a few photos not of Malia Port/Harbour, seems to be some confusion in reviews.
Took a walk to see where we ended up and stumbled across this lovely little place, ok some of it needs tidying up, they're really missing trick in this area, I wouldn't want to see it to commercialised but I'd like to see competition for the poor eatery (see other review) there at the moment. Anyway it's a nice place to just sit, read, enjoy the views, tiny church which is lovingly cared for. The boat yard isn't as pretty but it's an interesting explore, amazed that part of the massive sea wall has collapsed from the force of the seas! There's not much more to say really so I'll let the photos do the talking, judge for yourself if it's worth a walk in the sunshine ☀

When my boyfriend and I saw this hiking place, we really wanted to take a look. Getting there was not easy, cause the locals did not even know it and had to research the location... Once we were there we ended up in a tiny little forest where the path was not clear and it was very confusing. Eventually we found a fence that was an entrance to a path. We did not know where to go, because it was very unclear. We just went down, but soon we noticed the path was very unstable. A lot of safety fences were broken, so we couldn't rely on any support during the steep way down. Also, the ground was very dry which made it very slippery among all the loose stones. Considering the view, it was a beautiful, but scary experience. There were a lot of times when I thought I'd fall down the cliff because I slipped on the loose stones, or because the path was so steep or small that I couldn't walk it safely. If you want to do this hike, please consider it is very dangerous and I recommend you think twice about walking the path. Definitely NOT safe for children. And wear shoes if you decide to do the hike. Be safe <3

Referred to as Saint George Church Loutres Malia, we had to ask a local for directions. About 30 mins walk from Malia. Initially it looks like an ordinary church, but when you look closer at the missing eyes of the paintings and at the dates which pirates have scratched on the walls (400-500 years old) then you feel a little shivering.Lovely detail can still be seen in the frescos.
