Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a mixed bag for us. We used the purple shuttle and my daughters used the green shuttle. My husband and I hiked the Nevada Falls Loop and the girls did Four Mile Trail to Glacier Point. These trailheads are in opposite directions. The Four Mile Trailhead can only be reached on the Green bus route.

My girls are both in their twenties and my daughters boyfriend accompanied them. On the purple shuttle, we had two bus drivers that were amazing and one of the shuttles was just us and the bus driver. When we were on the bus for the whole loop, he asked where we were going and I replied we just finished hiking and really wanted to just sit in your air conditioning. He laughed and said fine by me. As I said, his bus was empty, Another bus driver was ending her shift and kicked us all off the bus after we sat their for 20 minutes. She said, "Get off and get on the bus behind me". It was green! I went back and told him what she said and he was like don't get on my bus, I'm the 50 minute loop. I was like I know! Another purple bus pulled up behind him and we all made our way to that bus. Actually I thought it was funny but my fellow bus mates had mixed feelings.

Then the girls texted that they would be till about 6 reaching the shuttle stop. So a little after 6, we went down from Curry Village to the bus stop and waited for them. It was almost an hour wait with no bus. Turns out they reduce the (green) valley bus loop to two buses after 5! I know cause I asked the lady on the purple bus and she gave me tons of info before pulling out. (Thanks by the way!) They pulled in about 10 minutes after I finished talking to her. We were hungry at that point, thank goodness the Pizza deck was still open. So just an FYI, bus service is reduced after 5 so your wait will be longer.

We came from San Francisco and used the BART to get to the Amtrak station then to the YART station in Merced. We took it all the way to and from Yosemite Park which was about 2 hours each way and affordable compared to renting a car and driving. The busses were nice enough and so were the drivers. Plan your trip and tickets ahead. We had a change of plans and ended up with a 3 hour layover in Merced station between the YART and Amtrak times.

A nice introduction to the Yosemite valley. Our ranger was personable and knowledgeable. There was nothing exceptional about it but overall it was a nice experience.

Formidable 2-day private tour of Yosemite with hotel accommodation

I had limited time to visit Yosemite national park but after going through reviews of Yosemite Private Tours, I decided to go with this tour company. My dad and I had a fantastic time in Yosemite national Park and Mariposa grove of sequoias. It was a top-notch private tour experience and worth every bit of it…. Our tour guide (Leo) was very hospitable - so professional and knowledgeable about each and every location that we covered in Yosemite and Sierra Nevada. The entire process - right from pick-up at the hotel to the drive back was very seamless and pleasant. If you have limited time for Yosemite while staying in San Francisco, but still want to cover most of Yosemite, I would highly recommend this 2-day trip with the hotel option included.
