What travellers are saying
- BehrenscommentsBakersfield, CA42 contributionsI spent time online planning our trip, but we normally start out by visiting the "official" visitor center. San Antonio has the most informative, thorough, knowledgeable, friendly staff we have ever encountered. STRONGLY recommend you go there even it you feel your trip has been well planned.
Wish there were more visitor centers like San Antonio's.
A HUGE thanks to the folks that provided service to us.Written 14 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - PurpleAnkhFort Washington, MD213 contributionsHere for my doctoral graduation. The space was well kept and well lit. - ChinapjsWashington DC, DC3,785 contributionsStunning architecture from award winning Mexican architect. Plus it's a great library with helpful staff. Don't miss the huge and gorgeous Chihuly glass sculpture upstairs or the Botero horse sculpture downstairs. In basement there is a used book sale on all the time.Written 17 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Guide251556Kansas City, KS25 contributionsHelpful workers and lots of nice souvenirs. A must stop on any trip to San Antonio. The young man at the counter gave us a good map of the Riverwalk with places to eat marked on it. Very helpful.Written 4 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Stephanie G1 contributionGreat staff, clean facility, and just a great place to visit. I recommend BiblitoTech South to everyone.Written 28 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- beetcannerSouthern Nevada621 contributionsRight next door to San Jose Mission (San Antonio Missions National Park Service), the library staff at this branch of the San Antonio Public Library could not be more welcoming and service-oriented. So refreshing. As a none-resident, request a free day pass and use the public computers to print out your boarding pass and check your email or whatever online. 20 cents per page to print. Long live public libraries.Written 18 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ricardo C1 contributionI completely agree that this a noisy place.
I have come to accept it.
I just bring a set of headphones to drown out the low info crowd.
But this loud environment is the norm here and has been going on for years.
I bought this matter to the attention to the so called librarian in charge and she just
looked at me as if I was out of my mind.
So there you have it

They enjoyed the activities that the library offered and all was well organized. The staff was very helpful and the facilities were clean and organized. All of the sections were labeled well and I was surprised at all the newer offerings the library has since it had been years that I have used one. They have a multitude of activities as well as research areas. The bathrooms were clean and they have a nice covered patio with tables and chairs as well as an awesome huge, old oak tree that is a must see in the back. There are concrete benches where you can sit and enjoy the canopy of the tree. During the week we visited several times. I even went back after our visitors left. It is off the beaten path and a bonus is the nice park (Bonnie Conner Park) just off from the parking lot that you can also visit with the kids or just take a walk on the walkway.Written 27 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
