What travellers are saying
- NelsonPuttickQuitman, TX4 contributionsLots of life in a safe environment where everyone seemed to be there for food and fun. The boat ride and guide were great.Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lisa M60 contributionsOur guide talked very fast so we had a hard time catching all of the information, but the view was spectacular...so worth the visit. Groupon usually has tickets for a few bucks off.Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ian O3 contributionsThe Alamo was amazing the history was incredible. Watch the 17 minute video on the history on the barracks , pay the 9 dollars for the audio tour its worth it. The regular visit is freeWritten 25 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TerriAnn51Tucson, AZ11 contributionsMy husband and I drove to the Japanese Tea Gardens because the river shuttles don't go there. I mistakenly thought the gardens were larger, but it didn't matter. It's a beautiful place for taking a leisurely walk and some great pictures. Note: The restaurant is not open. Also, the San Antonio Zoo is right next door.Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JM4 contributionsWe made this our last stop to take in the scenery without rushing. Parking awesome and great information about the history of this Mission. Very touched. Will visit again for sure.Written 22 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jbwhitehouseDallas, TX1,672 contributionsThe main offices of this National Historic Park are at Mission San Jose. Lots of free parking and picnic tables. The Visitor Center is full of helpful information and area park maps about all the area Missions.Written 20 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Robert F3 contributionsSo much to see. So many different kinds of flowers and trees-all on a very nice trail throughout. You can see rainforests in enclosed glass terrariums, an amazing lake right in the middle this this place-don't miss it as it's on a dirt trail. Old cabins and workshops..Well worth the visit-been there many times.Written 22 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BeccaAppleton, WI85 contributionsIt's a neat zoo with free parking and a good selection of animals that appeared well-taken care of. Restrooms were pretty gross though and the water fountains weren't great either, so plan on bringing adequate hydration or paying for bottled beverages of some kind. We enjoyed the day and saw lots of neat stuff. Worth a visit, but we thought the Houston Zoo was much nicer. But in fairness to the San Antonio Zoo, the Houston Zoo is absolutely amazing and very difficult to compete with.Written 16 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Elisa PAustin TX174 contributionsThis is a medium-sized museum along Breckenridge Park on Broadway close to the downtown. We spent 2 hours. The museum focuses on Texas reptiles and animals. The museum well done with professional displays including written explanations and interactive videos. There are some historic buildings in back as well as a children's area. The latter has a tree house with a nice view of the park. The museum is worth the dinosaur exhibit alone. And, right now, there is a special poison exhibit. It costs extra but is very interesting, exploring poison from different angles. Note that the exhibit is very dark, simulating the Amazon, so we used our phone flashlights to read the text. Be sure to look for the interactive magical poison book at the end of the exhibit. Also visit the gift shop. It has imaginative products at prices better than Amazon.Written 19 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Candice F55 contributionsWe were here on June 14,2022. It was pretty awesome. My son rode tons of rides (some multiple times). The lines weren’t long at all. My little one had a ball in the kid’s area. The rides were just her size and very entertaining. I only ran into one problem with the photo key pass. It’s $40 for digital access to all of your photos. The photo area was closed and I was directed to the SeaWorld store. There was only one person manning the station and he didn’t seem very knowledgeable. It took him forever and he made me late getting back to my bus. When I checked my email for access to my photos, not only was I missing several of my family’s pictures, but I actually had photos of another family in my account. I called and called but there was no way to get in touch with them so I had to use the “contact us” form on the website. I’m very disappointed since it was my son’s birthday. Hopefully I’ll hear back from someone. If not, I’ll dispute it with my bank. All in all, I would return.Written 16 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jan S1 contributionBeautiful cathedral inside and out! The light show was amazing! We were also able to see the Cathedral from the balcony of our hotel!Written 24 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Robert F3 contributionsWe hit 3 of the missions-all very fascinating, easy to get around. No charge for anything except if you want to rent bikes-which I do not advocate. Too much traffic on dangerous winding roads. Plenty of parkingWritten 22 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CodyDCWashington DC, DC5,459 contributionsI stopped by on a Saturday late afternoon, but the line was long, so I skipped. I came back on a Sunday and there was no line, so was able to go to the top without really any wait except for the elevator coming back down. Same when it was time to back down. The views are nice, but I went in the late afternoon so the brightness of the sun was impacting the views towards the west with sunny haze. The glass surrounding the observation deck are also dirty and scratchy, so it sort of impacted my photos as well as the view finder would sometimes focus on the dirt. It got very windy up with the wind blowing people's hat off, so hold on tight for things that might get blown away.Written 20 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Trgrin39 contributionsWe enjoyed our visit. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great place to go with young children. Feeding and touching the animals bring a new experience that you don’t get at other locations.Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Stacey CLenexa, KS95 contributionsThis has been on my bucket list for years and finally went there. Such a lovely area of San Antonio and much different atmosphere than the touristy part of riverwalk. Can't wait to return.Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
