I had read such mixed reviews I was a little unsure of this, but we decided to try it on our first morning in Tucson. It was a perfect introduction to Tucson and the surrounding area! Most of the museum is walking trails outside, although there are a few indoor exhibits. All animals are there because they were found either injured or lost, and cannot live on their own. We were there about 3 hours. We learned about the animals, cacti, rock formations, and other interesting facts about the area. There were a few animals we didn’t see in their pens, but most were out walking around. Well worth the money and time spent, and appreciate all the locals who said this is a ‘must do’!

I really did not think Tuscan had anything to offer till I discovered this park the drive is so amazing and on a clear day is just beautiful as I was climbing up to the top which is 15,000 ft up there are lots of turn outs to stop and take pictures. A must to do if you pass or stop into Tuscan. Make sure you stop at the cookie company which is half way up They are famous for their cookies

Great hiking opportunities. I arrived early morning just past sunrise and hiked on the moderately challenging but rewarding Bear Canyon to Seven Falls Trail. 8.3 mile out and back trail into the canyon, crossing several streams, with a 1000ft climb along the way until you reach Seven Falls. Beware that your shoes might get wet when the water levels are high so bring proper gear. Parking is $8/day but is covered with an NPS America the Beautiful Pass. There are also tram tours of Sabino Canyon and Bear Canyon. The Bear Canyon shuttle is a 2 mile ride that takes you to the trailhead of the Bear Canyon to Seven Falls Trail but the first tram isn't until 915am. If you want to start at sunrise and before the heat and crowds, it's a 30-40 min walk to the trailhead from the parking lot and is a pleasant stroll. You could time it to catch the shuttle on the return saving your tired legs from the 1 mile walk back to the lot. The more popular 7.4 mile narrated Sabino Canyon Tram which I rode a couple days after my hike was interesting and certainly worth doing if you don't have the ability or time to hike but was very anticlimactic after the experience of hiking into Bear Canyon.

Impressive collection of military and civilian aircraft from all over the world. Just about any historically significant plane you can think of is here. Many are on display outside but there is 6 large hangars filled with planes. Can easily spend 3-4 hours. A must see for anyone who is a fan of aviation or history

We visited this np at the beginning of April and it was already 100 degrees. We visited the west side as I heard its better. The saguaro cacti are a sight to see. There is a guided tour at the visitor center which a volunteer gives a lecture on all the desert plants which was very informative. We went on arrival off the beaten track to a hike and took the short one at the end. Its very hot here, make sure you stay hydrated. There is nothing like this national park anywhere, some cacti are over 15-20 ft tall

The artistry and craftsmanship of the Mission are exquisite. The woodwork is beautiful, and the thought that someone hundreds of years ago carved that as an expression of love and devotion to God is moving. It is worth the drive to see the Mission if you are in the area. You can leisurely walk around the grounds or into the sanctuary for a time of prayer, reflection, or silent introspection. There are many places around the Mission where one can buy candles to light.
The Reservation requires mask-wearing. That significantly detracted from my experience.

Stopped by on our way to Arizona-Sonora Desert museum and then came back another day to see sunset from there. View is great, you can hike a bit from there to find an even better spot for the sunset. Parking just before sunset might be tricky (many spots, but even more people coming), so come early.

Great view of the Santa Catalina Mountains just behind the state park. Paved RV sites. My site was very private and shaded. Quiet, peaceful park with lots of wildlife (lizards, dove, ground squirrels, and roadrunners). Good sunrise/ sunset location. Very pet friendly, dogs allowed on leash on all hiking trails in the park. Lots of saguaro cactus along the trails. Cell coverage was good with AT&T. Right across the street from a Walmart. About a 30 minute drive to Saguaro National Park-Tucson Mountain District, and about 50 minutes to Saguaro National Park.

There were few guests when we visited, but that was probably due to the hot weather. There was a great deal of work preparing the walking route. We enjoyed it. Thank you

We saw Ghost Blasters while on vacation. I must say, the management thinks about the guest experience. We were entertained and treated like special guests. If you have a chance, try the pizza. It was awesome.

Do not miss this gallery if you are an art lover and you visit Tucson. They don’t have only paintings, but also ceramics, quilts, a very eclectic decor and beautiful outdoor setting in the Catalina Foothills.

We definitely preferred the East side of the park. The drive was easy and offered beautiful views. Were able to make quick stops and get right up close to some unique cactus.

A very enjoyable afternoon going around visiting the regular animal inhabitants of the zoo with the special animatronic dinosaurs on display and photo opportunities.
