Golden Gardens Park
#13 of 122 Outdoor Activities in Seattle
the place is amazing, it is one of the few beaches in seattle area where you get the feeling that you are in a beach indeed, because others are all beach parks where the sand area is so small.
The beaches in Golden Gardens were exactly what we wanted for a family day on the water.
Alki Beach
#15 of 122 Outdoor Activities in Seattle
The lengthy waterfront offers a range of experiences from quiet sandy & pebbly beaches, especially fun at low tide, to a park-like beach waterfront with walking paths, waterfront activities, & nearby restaurants.
If you are looking for a place to just enjoy the sandy beaches while in Seattle, Alki is likely your best bet.
3 Ways to experience it
Richmond Beach Saltwater Park

Many areas to be alone To meditate or to have a group gathering, tables available by the beach or on upper level, great place to get exercise up the stairs, down the beach or the upper trail.
We loved the nice beach area to walk and explore!
Madison Beach

This is one of my favorite beaches- at the end of Madison- but good parking
The beach and the park were immaculate and both the baby and the dog found plenty to do.
Matthews Beach Park

Alki Park

There is a stunning view of Seattle from the sandy beach of the park.
The beach isn't the best and won't win any awards or anything like that but it is still very worthwhile to come here and check out the view and watch seaplanes and ferries and ships go by.
