#1 of 16 Museums in Fairbanks
Meticulously set out, signed and beautifully curated, this would certainly rank among the best museums of its type in the world.
We have been to a couple of auto museums but this one had the most beautifully restored cars we have ever seen; the vintage clothes on exhibit with the cars really added to the presentation

I travel often and I love museums of all kinds, but particularly natural history museums.
I would rank it as one of the top ten museums I've visited in the USA, and definitely the best in Alaska!

It was amazing to have the opportunity to see a man actually carving the sculptures during our visit and he was great!! Absolutely would recommend checking this little but amazing museum out!! Alaska is awesome!!
The ice museum is amazing, you can walk around and take lots of pics, the apple martini is also a most do, and the sculptures are so awesome!

This studio is right across the hall from the Crepery (wonderful crepes), down the hall from the Eastern restaurant (Middle Eastern, Mediterranean dishes) and downstairs from a great little museum about Fairbanks.

We went to the Fairbanks Ice Museum with little knowledge and left with knowledge, passion and a desire to return to Fairbanks in March to see the ice sculpture extravaganza.
You put on heavy coats that they hand out for everyone and you go into the ice sculpture museum with all sorts of opportunity for awesome photos.

Take to the skies in this small but packed air museum in Pioneer Park Fairbanks!
Lots of interesting things to see, very inexpensive, the museum is in the pioneer Park.

The art offered ranges from very reasonable (fused glass and pottery) to museum quality art by nationally recognized artists.
My friend and I were in Alaska specifically to research Native made Alaskan dolls at the Museum of the North.

The wonderful local volunteer Bob from the Morris Thompson Visitor Center also mans this museum and he's a true wealth of Alaskana info.
Excellent Hole in the Wall Museum

If you are just passing by...you probably have seen more impressive kids museums in the big cities, but still a few hours of fun for the kids and walking distance from main hotels in downtown.
The museum is an interactive children's center with a number of fun activities for kids up to about 10 years old.
