What travellers are saying
- NoraExplorerBradenton, FL169 contributionsThis is a beautiful Preserve and free for everyone to enjoy by foot or bicycle. Bring water, sunscreen, a hat, good walking shoes!Written 8 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BAR845Englewood, FL393 contributionsOutstanding museum. Even though it isn't huge you can easily spend a whole day there. If you enjoy reading different things about the exhibits you will need the whole day. A lot of reading but many visuals as well. Very nice set up. Looks like a Spanish court yard. Two floors. 1st is prehistoric FL and an exhibit that changes every so often. The 2nd is more modern FL. Very neat and clean and well set up. A lot of information in a museum of this size. Plenty of clean rest rooms. No food here but you can find plenty of restaurants on 12th St. a short walk away. (Check out Robin’s for great food at a very reasonable price). Your admission is for the day and you can return later. There is also the Manatee viewing area. Downstairs you can watch the manatees swim and eat, and eat, and eat. These are rescued manatees that come here as their final stop to gain weight before being released into the wild. They have a person there to answer questions about manatees and there was a diver cleaning the tank when we went in the morning. The water is clear and provides a great view of the manatees. There is also a planetarium with several different shows. We went to the one about this month’s skies. I do no recommended that show. There was no real show. Just basically, “What do you want to see”. Boring and not very informative. The person giving the show didn’t seem to know what to do. Better to go to another show that is produced more like a set show. Overall, if you like museum and natural history you can’t go wrong at this great place.Written 29 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- kerrih442018Selkirk, NY378 contributionsThis is a good place to take a stroll. If I lived here I would use it often. Too bad they don’t host more activities here. Maybe if people comment this would spur them to use the area more.Written 31 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- David HBradenton, FL666 contributionsI was here for one of the summer Marauder games, playing in the low A league. Happened to hit "Thirsty Thursday" where all their beers are only $2, what a deal! And parking in the lot just north of the stadium is also only $2. They have very nice seating, and while I didn't walk out there, it looked like a nice pub/ viewing area in right field. Excellent electronic scoreboard, showing the lineup for each tam as they are batting, and stats and photo for the current batter. Very good concessions with prices a bit lower than many other ballparks.Written 9 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gregory BTopeka, KS222 contributionsA very beautiful location right on the ocean bay. Your first stop should be to the visitor center. They have a very informative film and can answer any questions you might have about its history and significance. They also have a film that describes the challenges the explorers encountered.

It’s a beautiful beach, and we had no problem parking our car in a space along the street during the week. There are three concrete piers you can walk out over the water and look at fish. There is also a bike & walking path along the beach on the south end of the island.Written 2 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AdventurousKCRaymore, MO164 contributionsThis is a free, beautiful garden to enjoy! The fruit trees are from multiple regions and they provide the information on each tree on the signs. Definitely worth a morning walk through the gardens!!!Written 11 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- beth ann kHalstead, KS1,492 contributionsWe ran out of time! There's just so much to see here and a wide variety of things to purchase. Parking was easy also. We will be back.Written 24 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Destry-Rides-AgainApopka, FL35 contributionsFor those who enjoy learning local history this is great place. Can easily do whole park in about an hour. Buildings offer placards with explanations on them. Park benches under large Live Oaks make for a nice place to sit and there is no admission fee - donations are welcome. Great place to come with children, too as they had a playground.
The schoolhouse was our favorite building. They also have the courthouse, the Stevens house, old country store, church and a lot more. All the buildings were staged with the appropriate era furniture and belongings.Written 24 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - mamawren3Sebewaing, MI145 contributionsLovely campground attached to the Hunsader farm, well maintained and friendly staff. Didn’t pick strawberries, so not reviewing that. Saw lots of people in the field, tho, so obviously it’s popular. The farm also has some really cool animals and a petting zoo. Great stop for families with or without kids, even if you’re not camping. We will plan to stay here again next time we’re down this way.Written 18 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- cordyroyMobile, AL2,329 contributionsBradenton's Village of the Arts is a charming area about 10 blocks South of the Riverfront. Lots of quirky shops and artsy paint jobs on houses and sidewalks. Several restaurants are here too. Park the car and walk about for a bit. Not a huge amount to do but worth a few hours stroll.Written 6 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Dick SDillon, CO95 contributionsAlligators and wild hogs. Also a boat ride to see gators. Park is big and nature abounds. Nice park area and walks.Written 23 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Bi-coasterBradenton, FL1,196 contributionsThis is a quiet nature preserve that favors walkers. There are some areas for biking, and no dogs are allowed. We enjoyed the trail through scrub and wetlands with several bird blinds along the way. We only saw a few other people and that was a plus!Written 7 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jkm2405Bowling Green, KY55 contributionsWe attended a show in the Stone Hall at this facility. It’ a wonderful place for any show. This theater doesn’t seat as many as some but the layout is perfect allowing a great view of the stage from any seat. The particular show we saw was not one I would recommend but the theater is definitely one I would go to againWritten 1 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
