It's a quick walk from Penn Station to Times Square. Just a quick walk up 7th Ave. to 45th St. and you are there! Food, lights, activities galore - day and night! Stunning collections, from the Temple of Dendur to Van Gogh’s masterpieces.Enjoyed a light meal at Petrie Court Café and a lovely fine-dining experience at The Met Dining Room. Food trucks outside were a great quick option.: Huge museum, best explored in the morning to avoid crowds.: A must-visit for art lovers—elegant, inspiring, and unforgettable!

It was a lovely early morning walk even if some of it was closed off for maintenance until the summer (I guess). We started in Hudson Yards and ended up in Chelsea and the Little Island which was a nice surprise. I read reviews saying that taking the free Staten Island Ferry would be enough to view the monument from the sea and planned to do that. However, my husband wanted to visit Liberty Island to see the monument up close, and I must say, it was worth it. Its was very busy and everyone happy and enjoying the moment. Amazing architecture; great location; interesting shopping, high end markets for fish, meat, and produce; various small shops; an Apple store overlooking it all; and good restaurants for every budget. It appears to be some sort converted industrial unit, Into a acarde of shops and restaurants..it's a truely wonderful and absolutely should be visited.

The reading room needs a tour guide to access.
